Would you go out with a female cop? I'm being set up with a cop who's a friend of a friend and I'm trying to decide if that's a good idea, with TRP in mind.

I don't even want to associate with cops, male or female. Hell-no would I date one.
drallcom3 10y ago
Dating a woman who is trained to act like a man? Hell, no!
Tarnsman4Life 10y ago
I would never ever ever do it. I wouldn't date someone who even had family that were cops it is nothing but trouble; if the breakup goes bad like magic you get 30 tickets a day and every officer and his brother are out looking for you.
I had to stop going to Lake County Florida for a good year because I decided in my infinite wisdom it would be a good idea to fuck the 18 year old daughter of the head dispatcher for the LSO. Shit finally calmed down but it just wasn't worth it.
AFPJ 10y ago
Female Military? Good for ONS/FWB, not viable LTR.
Female Cops? Good for nothing, high chance using their position to spite you after a breakup or pump & dump.
Stay the fuck away from 'em.

Not so sure about that. There is nothing more dangerous than a woman cop. They are in a male dominated role so they have something to constantly prove. I knew this when a pair of women cops falsely gave me a ticket when I was 16. I saw that behavior in almost every female cop I have encountered. That mentality does not get left at work. She will most certainly bring that into her personal life. What she needs is a beta.
oldredder 10y ago
Have to. It's the facts. Cops in general aren't to be trusted so letting a woman with a badge in your life means she can do anything she wants. The instant she's spiteful & dishonest like 99.99% of women are she has an entire armed gang of police instantly on her side. You can't kick her out, you can't control the situation, nothing.
There is no alpha frame in the face of 10 cops with guns. Ever. They're at her disposal at any time.
[deleted] 10y ago
"COPS ARE BAD! WOMEN ARE BAD! WOMEN COPS ARE REALLY REALLY BAD!" Do you honestly believe any of the shit you say? His date with a woman cop goes over poorly and now she's living with him for eternity with an armed police force constantly threatening him and now he's a BETA too! Thats how cops work. If one has a bad relationship they just spend the rest of their lives making each others ex's lives living hell.
oldredder 10y ago
100% I believe only an idiot believes cops are good.
Cops are trained to do bad things, break laws & cover it up and protect each other. All people who want to be good cops are ejected. Seen it everywhere. EVERYWHERE. It's built in. There's no more good cops - they're all retiring and are sad at the legacy they can't restore.
An angry cop won't spend the "rest of her life" making a man's life hell - she can walk away and let the JAIL system do the work for her.
You are so naive. 15 years old? Never dealt with cops apparently. I've seen it all.

TRP has literally made it a point, even a stickied post, that we DO speak in generalizations. I suggest you stop posting and try reading a bit more.

We're not interested in prefacing every single post with "While I understand that not all females are like this..."
[deleted] 10y ago
Than perhaps the phrase "Generally speaking" would suit you better. These absolutisms are just ignorant at best.
teeelo 10y ago
Perhaps fucking off is in your best interest?
oldredder 10y ago
No, they're accurate at best. Your post is 3 hours old. Hopefully no more than 3 hours from now you'll be banned so you can't ever post again here.
bicepsblastingstud 10y ago
Most of us are sufficiently wise to understand what the other posters mean without needing to actually see the words "generally speaking."
Gumstead 10y ago
Oh please. This has nothing to do with RP, its just an extension of the anti-cop circlejerk. There has been no advice given on the female aspect, only the clearly biased cop facet.
[deleted] 10y ago
No,no,no. Clearly all female police officers are a no go zone. Thats just a fact. Also, if these guys thought these were just "general rules" than why not give the gal a shot instead of immediately writing her off based off some stereotypes.
oldredder 10y ago
The female aspect speaks for itself. 99.99% of women will exploit/abuse a man who can't stop a woman from doing so. Mostly a man has no comprehension of logic/emotion & the lies of society to stop it.
Here a man learns to stop the exploitation.
A female cop subverts all of that with the power of her badge. She can do anything she wants and call on an army of cops to get her way if you push back so you can never push back.
It would be no different if she was a Mafia daughter or all her family were Hell's Angels. The answer is the same: you have no power as a man there, it's super-danger with little reward and that same reward you can find with every other woman on Earth so it's a stupid risk vs reward situation.
Gumstead 10y ago
As someone who works in the field, the power police have when off the job is greatly exaggerated. Yes, in the past, it was the usual old boys club but these days, with the prevalence of lawsuits and the stringent eye of insurance companies looking to avoid payouts, police departments have seriously cracked down on this type of corruption. And yes, it is a form of corruption, using your status as a police officer for personal gain, even off the clock. So to suggest that, because she is a cop, she has the power of the department and her co-workers behind her is just farcical. As soon as she tries to do that, you're going to see her and every officer who shows up to back her up answering some very tough questions.
oldredder 10y ago
As someone who's seen first hand the power police have on/off duty I can say it's not exagerated at all. In fact where I live one police officer actually got severely punished because of a separation from marriage because the spouse was friends of OTHER police officers, and THOSE police officers OFF duty ruined his life. DESTROYED IT. Stalked, harassed, threatened, violated property & damaged it - ZERO punishment for those 2 off-duty officers who acted completely illegally. That's how bad the power-trip is. 100% immune from any prosecution.
There are no tough questions to answer: only other cops can ask those questions and the first one who tries is going to see their children jailed on planted evidence and lose their pension for life and be harassed by other police forever.
Gumstead 10y ago
Bullshit. You as a civilian don't see the inner workings or understand what happens inside the departments. But police do not get away with that shit anymore. Police report eachother all the the time because if they don't they will lose your job. You only ever hear about the bad things because thats all the news reports. But far more often, cops stab eachother in the back because they will be better off that way.
Overzealous_BlackGuy 10y ago
Ive also seen the exact opposite of control issues where women just like the job but are complete sluts.
bh3244 10y ago
no chance in hell
Manuel_S 10y ago
Military
Cops
Both are not-natural places for women. So ask yourself, what kind of women find their way there?
[deleted] 10y ago
I think any authoritative position, be it police officer, prison guard, Ect tends to attract people with control issues. This doesn't apply to everyone obviously, but to make an analogy, it's like dating a stripper hoping she's one of the ones not fucked up in the head.
oldredder 10y ago
I would never ever date a female cop. She would have infinite power and I would have none.
[deleted] 10y ago
hell no.
vicious_armbar 10y ago
Do you really want to date someone who has the power to: arrest you, jail you, and have you charged with a crime if you piss her off? Stay the fuck away!

Abort mission! I repeat : abort mission!!!
Gold_Leaf_Initiative 10y ago
This comes down to who the person is as an individual. What traits does she have that sets her above other women?
If you can't answer this question, then it's a no. If you can, then it's a yes.
MarriedRP 10y ago
While the best case scenario is the same for a non-cop date, the downside is unimaginably worse. What if she decides she wants to make your life a little uncomfortable because of relationship problems? What if she felt like she had just been used for sex?
KyfhoMyoba 10y ago
What if you two have a really bad fight/argument? Care to guess how THAT might turn out?
talkischeap11 10y ago
My mums boyfriend used to be married to a cop. She was a fucking nut case. You look at all the stories of divorce/not having full access to kids etc and that's basically happened to him.
moresmarterthanyou 10y ago
so much nope
Here2lrn 10y ago
Yes, but that's largely because I've still got a bit of a bad girl fetish going on.
In terms of TRP dogma, the answer is a resounding no. So my advice is don't and send her my way.
