This is for all the newcomers here. If what you see on the side bar makes you feel like you're seeing a confirmation bias of our theories, this post on a mainstream media outlet, psychologytoday.com should, I believe, be enough to convince you.
Why Modern Feminism Is Illogical, Unnecessary, and Evil
modern feminism is illogical because, as Pinker points out, it is based on the vanilla assumption that, but for lifelong gender socialization and pernicious patriarchy, men and women are on the whole identical. An insurmountable body of evidence by now conclusively demonstrates that the vanilla assumption is false; men and women are inherently, fundamentally, and irreconcilably different.
Further, modern feminism is unnecessary, because its entire raison d’être is the unquestioned assumption that women are and have historically always been worse off than men. The fact that men and women are fundamentally different and want different things makes it difficult to compare their welfare directly, to assess which sex is better off; for example, the fact that women make less money than men cannot by itself be evidence that women are worse off than men, any more than the fact that men own fewer pairs of shoes than women cannot be evidence that men are worse off than women. However, in the only two biologically meaningful measures of welfare – longevity and reproductive success – women are and have always been slightly better off than men. In every human society, women live longer than men, and more women attain some reproductive success; many more men end their lives as total reproductive losers, having left no genetic offspring.
This has already been explained in one of the sources in the side bar as what is known as the apex fallacy-comparing the plight of the vast majority of women to lives of aristocrats and top classes of men.
Finally, modern feminism is evil because it ultimately makes women (and men) unhappy. In a forthcoming article in the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Betsey Stevenson and Justin Wolfers of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania show that American women over the last 35 years have steadily become less and less happy, as they have made more and more money relative to men. Women used to be a lot happier than men despite the fact that they made much less money than men. The sex gap in happiness (in women’s favor) has declined in the past 35 years as the sex gap in pay (in men’s favor) narrowed. Now women make as much as, sometimes even more than, men do. As a result, today women are just as unhappy, or even more unhappy than, men are.
TL;DR: Author explains how feminism is based on myths, and is not only completely (yes COMPLETELY) useless, but is also harming both genders. It is misandry on an open level, combined with a misogyny on a subtler level.
PS: After some more searching I also came across this article also posted on psychologytoday.com- Why Anti-Feminism Is Illogical, Unnecessary, Evil, and Incredibly Unsexy
You might be wondering-did I just pick out, once again, what confirms the red pill theories?
Well, apart from the fact that the title of this article itself contains an ad hominem fallacy directed towards the author of the previous article mentioned above ('Incredibly unsexy') which is also garrulous for such a serious topic, upon searching for the names of the authors, I came across the following information-
Author of Why Modern Feminism Is Illogical, Unnecessary, and Evil - Satoshi Kanazawa - an evolutionary psychologist
Author of Why Anti-Feminism Is Illogical, Unnecessary, Evil, and Incredibly Unsexy - Gina Barreca - professor of English literature and feminist theory.
I do not think I even need to explain which of the two opposing articles is written by a more credible and scientifically inclined author. You are free to verify anything that I have written on here by yourself.

Yes.
All the facts are proving that Modern Feminism Is Illogical, Unnecessary, and Evil.
Except that these feminists(and women) do not care about facts.
They. Just. Don't. Care.

So I read this post, went away for a brief discussion with my girlfriend, and came back. Nothing has changed. Spent AT LEAST thirty minutes getting her to admit that males and females have physiological differences. She rabidly believes what she's saying, but she doesn't understand it. At all. Obviously, because the facts don't jibe with the narrative. How are women oppressed in education if uni admission rates were 56/44 in favour of women? etc, and so on.
Trpidation 8y ago
Feelz before Realz, my friend. That's what that is.
Ultimately fellas, as much as I hate to admit it, this whole thing is our fault. Somewhere down the line, men started treating women better than they deserved and forgot how to be real fucking men. Masculinity is nearly dead, I see it everywhere. Men acting like bitches with their SO, men being incapable of leading, it's fucking pathetic. We gotta reclaim our fucking balls, remember who we are and what our place is in society. History tells us; men run shit. That is our place. The change has to start somewhere and TRP is that place. Let's do this shit, boys.
Zerwas 8y ago
And that can be the most frustrating thing to a lot of us rational thinking men. But being aware of this helps a lot. Ironically I feel superior regarding moral and ethics, mainly because I think for myself and don't follow an emotion based ideology.
Banned_For_Opinion 8y ago
They literally say that when they're frustrated and are at a loss for words. "I don't care about logic you should just listen to me."
Marsupian 8y ago
Its a shit test, you don't deal with shit tests by using logic. Anyone taking feminism seriously is part of the problem.
people_make_me_sad 8y ago
woah woah what?! You deal with shit tests by using logic? Care to expand on this? If this is the case I feel like alot of computer scientists should be great with shit tests :P
RAWRzilla22 8y ago
Out of curiosity, how do most of you deal with this shit test in real life? Girls that throw the F-word around, I mean. Is there a response we can default to or is keeping my distance the best bet?
Marsupian 8y ago
I ignore it or mock it. Depends on the context. Ignoring is the safer approach.

Both his points are 100% valid. Merely looking back 4 months to see that old actress accusing a random male passerby of sexual assault for the duration of 2 seconds.

Marsupian is speaking broadly. Feminism was taken seriously by the general public, and now that sort of shit happens.
Shamlei 8y ago
Yeah but seeing the kind of power they have now why shouldn't they be taking seriously and fought against now ?
I mean, I understand the idea, but now that they have that much power isn't it too late ? Shouldn't we do something ?
omolicious 8y ago
Laugh at them harder. It works. Ever since Milo has been running his campus tour making people laugh at feminists there has been a larger and larger force against them, and regular people are coming to realize that the word of the feminist isn't supreme law after all
Ronin11A 8y ago
Amused Mastery and Agree & Amplify are your two best friends.
Whether you're dealing with women, feminists, or rampaging white knights, nothing works better than simply not taking them seriously. The minute to try to logically and earnestly defend your viewpoint, especially with something as controversial as TRP, you validate and submit to their frame, and you've lost.
Recently had white knight start stalking my posts here on TRP, linking to them on another sub in an attempt to mock and shame me. I went over to that other sub just to fuck with him, applied amused mastery, and voila: his own sub ends up calling him 'petty' and 'cringe.' See for yourself.

Let's look at the numbers.
A man writes an article, it is about 5,000 characters long and he mentions himself 5 times^1
A woman writes an article, it is about 15,000 words and she mentions herself 128 times
The woman talks about herself 8 times as much as the man in this case. There's some nice anecdotal evidence to support men being more interested in ideas while women are more interested in people (more often than not, themselves). It's too bad for Miss Barreca that the scientific method is more concerned with ideas than with stories from college.
^[1] ^mentioning ^oneself ^= ^uses ^the ^words ^I, ^I'll, ^I'm, ^I'd, ^me, ^my, ^myself ^according ^to ^grep

The wage gap isn't exactly real but this reminded me of a classic Burr quote- "I get paid more than you, because if we're on a ship and the thing starts sinking, I have to stay on it and you get to leave with the kids."
Now I have a question. I was talking with a friend about it and he said his mother, despite working the same amount of time or longer as a male colleague (Librarian at a school), gets paid less. I just sort of ended it there (I did say that that would be illegal but he said it's true) as I really didn't want to get into that mess, but what would be the reason, if he were telling the full truth? More days off or something?
[deleted] 8y ago
We know this. This is one of the main points of TRP, that feminism has no place in society. As much as you would try to argue this, those women who feel bad about themselves and look absolutely awful will use feminism as a tool for validation on why no guy wants to stick with them or why they're so fat and ugly. This post is just a reconfirmation of what we already know. It seems pretty unnecessary.

There is a natural order which governs our relationship with each other and nature. To the extent you deny this natural order or live as if it does not bind you, there will be pain, strife, and sadness. You should do what you can to divine the tenets of this natural order, and live according to it. We should structure our societies around it. It's rules have wiggle room and are hard to nail down, but it's a truth. It's easiest to perceive the consequences of transgression against it in the feminism scenario because it forces women to deny their nature as mothers, femenine spirits, nurturers, and home makers. Reality rules, one way or another. But how many people can see reality through their own bias, broken metaphysics, and politically induced blindnesses? Praise Gnon.
Bernie33 8y ago
This has been know for as long as civilization has existed. There are warnings all throughout literature about the nature of women. Leading and keeping women in check is the male burden. With masculine leadership women know exactly what their role in the world is and this puts them at ease. Without masculine leadership women are anxious and self destructive.
[deleted] 8y ago
They literally have no idea what to do with themselves.
Andramoiennepe 8y ago
I like the idea of women being anxious and self-destructive when they are bereft of male leadership. Women without proper leadership behave like dogs who have incompetent owners. Think of the yappy little dogs that bark anxiously at every passerby. They do this because they believe they are the alpha, although they know they are unfit for the role. As a result they are anxious to protect their owner and perceive everyone and everything as a threat. Further such dogs will behave shamelessly in general: destroying property, stealing food, biting the hand quite literally that feeds them. But with an alpha leader, that same dog will be totally at ease, knowing its responsibility is merely to do as instructed and to show unremitting love and affection to its master. A good woman is not any different. With the right leadership, she knows that all the hard decisions and hard work are taken care off and that she can be at ease and calm, as she has such a fit and strong protector. As a result, the admiration and affection flows. The metaphor only breaks down when one considers the conditions inherent in female fidelity; If you excuse the classical literature reference: Argus waited 20 years for Odysseus to return home. The only Penelope's out there may be in literary fiction ...
roskybosky 8y ago
But wars are started by men. The prisons are full of men. Every barroom fight I ever saw was between 2 men. Men commit most of the burglaries, murders, car-jackings, etc. Where is the leadership in those cases? Women are perfectly fine governing themselves. They've done it since the beginning of time. Keeping women in check might be an exercise of males who don't want to share any power-I can't believe it's due to your concern for their well-being.
pdpbigbang 8y ago
And girls love powerful men. The more powerful they are, the better. Crimes happen as means for men to show or acquire more power, it's immoral, but evolutionarily advantageous. Men would do anything to acquire more power, because that translates into getting more girls. For girls, nothing else matters but establishing higher and higher power ground through men. This is the very definition of hypergamy. Evolutionarily, we're still monkeys measuring up with each other and females bearing offspring for the powerful.
mikesteane 8y ago
The Spanish Inquisition; started by Queen Isabella. The White Feather campaign in WW1: operated by women, many of whom were suffragettes. The greatest expansion of the British Empire: under Elizabeth I. Wars are not uniquely, or even disproportionately, started by men.
Most of whom would not be there if they had been treated with the same leniency that women get.
Of the top of my head, I would think that about half the brawls in bars I have ever witnessed were between women. This represents more than the proportion of women in bars. I suspect that most of the bar-room brawls you have seen have been on television.
Women commit a HUGE majority of shoplifting offences.
I know of no community of women that has survived long-term without male support. I have, however, seen numerous examples of all women enterprises of one sort or another collapsing into disaster shortly after they started.
Or an exercise of women who don't want the responsibility that comes with power e.g. the women of Switzerland who, with unusual honesty, voted against female suffrage.

This post is full of so many lies. Plenty of female leaders have started wars, look at Catherine the Great for one example.
You've never see a barroom fight between women? Oh look, Heres one now. Plenty more where that came from, too.
Plenty of female murderers and thieves out there. You're lying to yourself if you think there isnt.
This post is a classic example of demonizing men while holding up the lie that women are inherently wonderful. No one is buying it anymore.

On the one hand, I hate feminism as much as I hate all the other fascist movements that arose in the 20th century. However, I'm also aware that, contrary to what they intended, they did a great service for men, and a great disservice to women. I'm reminded of what Pook said about this:
It is true, of course, that feminists are man-hating fascists who do all in their power to harm men and bring privilege to themselves, and it is true that society becomes more unjust because of them. However, it is also true that in their stupidity and short-sightedness they have given valuable opportunities for men, all why selling women a crock.
That is why we are here, to learn how to best take advantage of those opportunities. And fuck the feminists.
beltwaytr 8y ago
After reading some of the comments here I think I may need to clarify some things so you can really see exactly what is going on.
The TLDR is If a women's sexual preferences is liberated and go unchecked they destroy civilizations, if women are allowed a voice in matters that pertain to the safety of a nation then that nation will die. It's that simple.
From reading the posted material you will quickly learn that women are not concerned with in group loyalty. They do not care about their tribe, nation, or civilization on an instinctual level. It's in their nature not to. Women seek what is considered to be better.
Now most of you know the example of the Alpha and Beta, but you only know it on a small scale. You know it as weak man loses girl to strong guy and the red pill teaches you all to be the big tough guy.
Well how about on a larger scale? What would this example look like on a national level? For this I'll have to use a country that is currently the closest to crashing and burning. That country is Sweden.
For those that don't know Sweden is the self described "Humanitarian Super Power" that pursues a feminist foreign policy. It's one of the most gender equal countries in the world and they have become the REAL rape capital of the world.
How is feminism to blame? Good question. The total Feminization of Sweden and it's men have allowed their own women to ruin the country by importing unassimilable and aggressive people from alien cultures. We all know women are attracted to dominating males by instinct. Look at any major war. When the US defeated Japan there women flooded to the US and married our soldiers. When Germany invaded France, their women involved themselves with the Nazis.
While it may not seem possible this can and most certainly will happen to our own nation as well. The red pill isn't just about getting pussy, although many of you seem to make it your life's mission. It's about educating our men, helping them reclaim what has been taken from them during their childhood, and ultimately to help stabilize the world we live in.
We don't need you Alphas on tinder, we don't need you in bars, or trying to keep score of how many sluts you can bed. We need Alphas like you getting involved in politics, spreading the word about the harsh reality feminism will bring to this country, and standing up for men's rights.
I won't lie to anyone here it's disheartening to see when a fellow member can't see past his own dick with posts like this. These posts are here to educate you, not to bore you.
Edit: Thanks very much for the gold stranger.
Jeanwulf 8y ago
Absolute bullshit. Sweden has started deporting now. 80 thousand migrants who had been previously added have been removed.
Gender equality is fine and even subsidizing women into engineering is okay, because it will ensure the women who actually are engineers will stay while the lazies will leave.
Like, Engineering in NZ requires B average for first year or something (75%). It's probably made easier for chicks but not that bad.
The Nordic countries are NOT suffering a rape epidemic as such, just more normal-to-world rape levels for a brief time period. Sweden had lowest rape levels in the world. Its gonna go back to nigh on zero again after the bad migrants are kicked out.
by the way, migrants almost always work way harder than natives. Historical examples are Europeans rapefugeeing North America. NA is founded upon genocide. Israel is founded upon genocide of Palestinians and their culture.
All western societies had violent beginnings.

A fairly recent example of women not advocating loyalty as well as failing to assume the role of a leader (in my scholastic life):
Last group project of the semester for my human development class (groups of 3 were supposed to make a magazine about an event that dealt with something controversial, could be anything). As everyone usually does, we waited til the weekend (Sunday night), three days before the deadline, to compile everything (and so did every other group in the class, as it turned out). Now i already told her that i hadnt started on the project yet as i had 4 other exams and a paper i had to take care of the week prior, and i knew that the whole project was a one day job tops. One of the girls in my group was fairly unresponsive, although I'm sure she was just busy so it was whatever. And the other girl, who was an acquaintance/"friend", decided that it just "wasn't fair that she had to wait for the rest of the group to finish their share of the work, and that she had to do everything last minute." She asked another group and switched one member from that one with mine so she could get rid of all the pressure (remember that all the groups waited til the last weekend to do the project, and considering that they had a different topic, any work she had done was useless). All in all I just can't fathom her logic, because she had to do the same amount of work she would've done with my group anyways. Now she could've doled out some responsibility and just said hey can you do this for me and I'll luv you long time, sooky sooky figh dorra. The kicker: about 30 minutes after she dipped, the other female in my group sent me her entire share of the work. All I needed was the newbies share and to finish mine, which I ended up getting everything done in a day (as I expected).
TLDR; So... not only did I learn from my own experience the relationship between women and loyalty (there is none when the shit hits the fan in their mind), I learned that women do not make for leaders, and will jump ship because of stress that a man would not be phased by (as it was purely efficient planning).

I empathize with you completely. The fact that the Middle East consists of nations with average national IQ's below 85 in almost every case goes to show how Europe has invited a borderline mentally retarded population into its territories. I'd wager at least 30% of them belong in mental hospitals/special psychiatric treatment for having an incredibly low IQ. Normally a population is only supposed to have <4% mentally ill fellows.
Also some feminists argue that less than 1% of those Muslims invited are terrorists, though I seriously do not think just 1% of them would want Sharia law. I have something for them-even if there are just 1% of them, is it actually worth it?
For comparison sake, imagine sitting in an airplane which crashes and burns with a probability of just 1%. Would you be willing to ride it? Keep in mind that the probability of a normal airplane crashing and burning is about 1 in a million (aka 0.0001%). And you aren't going to ride that plane just once. Assuming you meet 100 people a year, and 4% of them are refugees, you are going to meet 4 potential extremists every year. Which means in our plane-analogy, you're going to be riding that plane four times every year. That means you complete 100 flights every 25 years, and thus on average the plane you ride crashes and burns once every 25 years. Would you still be willing to ride that plane? Now add that to the fact that not just you, but your friends, family, your children, grandchildren, and everyone you know will have to ride that same plane. What would you be willing to do?

Well said. One thing I don't like about this sub is the dominant theme seems to be that we should ride the decline, get as much pussy as we can, and let our nation continue to go to hell.
While there is a lot of insight to be found here, letting your nation go to shit just doesn't fit my idea of being a man.
beltwaytr 8y ago
Most of our members are relatively new (1 to 12 months) and the results this sub gets people is fantastic. We are a sub of men that have gone from struggling with women, getting in shape, and not being broke. To being successful with women, being in the best shapes of our lives, and improving our finances.
It's only natural for us to get absorbed in rewards of what TRP has helped us achieve. Whether it be with women, our physical bodies, or our financial situations. However at some point in time we do need to see outside ourselves and help our society thrive. Riding the decline is a common miss use of red pill teachings but as we get more elders on the sub we will see more of the newer members maintaining a more level view of things.
trancedj 8y ago
Posts and comments like yours keep me coming back to TRP. Thanks man, I needed to hear that. I try and help lift men up when I can. I don't know how many other men are like me, but it was only after I learned to slay pussy did I come to realize feminism is a lot worse than I imagined. Sweden is getting fucked - both figuratively and literally.
beltwaytr 8y ago
Then I have done my job in raising awareness. Eventually everyone here will understand what feminism means for us in the big picture.
NewestHouse 8y ago
While it may not seem possible this can and most certainly will happen to our own nation as well.
It feels like its too late to stop this, even if real men stand up and try to wake people up, media and feminists will easily demonize any of them with their usual name calling and then that person is finished. They hold the media and governmental power, feminism is institutionalized and they have institutional power behind them, ordinary citizens are powerless.
beltwaytr 8y ago
While it's true that no civilization has ever recovered from incorporating feminism, we do have the power to severely limit the damage it can cause.
Personally I think ignoring the problem will make things inherently worse than it already is. If all the men from MGTOW,Herbivore men, etc actually stood up for their society rather than walk away from it I think most countries would of been better off.
Our major spokesmen for Men's Rights at this point are Christina Hoff Sommers, Helen Smith, and Milo Yiannopoulos. A couple of women and a gay guy. That's the best we have at this point that represent us. Don't get me wrong I'm not ragging on them at all because if it wasn't for people like this we would have no voice.
It amazes me that we don't have a legion of speakers on our behalf but it's not a real surprise because a lot of us have just simply opted out instead of standing up and speaking their mind.
NewestHouse 8y ago
When people like us speak our minds we are demonized. People are all to ready to hate on us and blame us for everything and will jump at any chance to do so. Women and a gay guy are defending us because they are the only one capable of surviving while defending us.

I wouldn't rag on gay men, as most of us who have been around for awhile can see right through the veil. We don't have any incentive for seeing women as "wonderful creatures", and (at least in our youth) are often granted access to information that is carefully kept from straight men. I'm vehemently anti-feminist because of what I know.

I am growing weary of seeing at least a 4-5 posts on TRP regarding feminism everyday. Modern feminists are little children. If we respond to them when they act out, we are giving them exactly what they want. Ignore them and they will eventually join "The End Is Nigh" sandwich board man. I honestly don't encounter many hardcore feminists on a regular basis. Therefore, I do not feel the need to be constantly reminded about their existence and half-baked antics. Instead, let us direct our energies into things that flow with logic and reason.

My hometown is currently dealing with the Brock Turner situation, and in the past 72 hours since his sentencing, our whole town has polarized itself and been turned upside down. Someone in our town even retardedly started trending a hastag #Ohiois4Consent
So frankly, I rather appreciate any and all ammunition against the loud cunts who remind me every chance they get that I should feel guilty for being white and male.
RedBaron200 8y ago
Yes, I agree. It is a horrible situation. However, if you're looking for ammunition, this isn't the gun store. My point is that we all agree that feminism sucks but continuing to dwell on it is completely pointless and unproductive.
johnchapel 8y ago
Apparently it is, considering you are "growing weary of seeing at least a 4-5 posts on TRP regarding feminism everyday."
longhorn2013 8y ago
You might not have seen them but both my sister and my mother are extreme feminists. Some of us had to deal with them all the time.
RedBaron200 8y ago
I'm sorry to hear that but I think you misunderstood my message. TRP is not a overt counter-feminist movement. There are other subreddits for that. I'm quite sure just about every regular on TRP is against feminism. So why should keep discussing feminism as if we are still on the fence about it?
longhorn2013 8y ago
I understand. I consider TRP to be like the actual pill -- it isn't the destination so much as the introduction to so many things: the truth about the genders, the truths about female attraction, advice for individual improvement, men's rights, finances, modern Leftism, the Dark Enlightenment, etc. I also agree that constantly harping directly on feminism, especially with foul or hyperbolic language doesn't really do us any good. What we should do: point out RP truths (without using the terminology) in day to day conversations. Most people you interact with IRL aren't the caricature of an extreme beta - many understand RP truths once you phrase them the right way (e.g. if you talk about a confident, assertive, emotionally stable, self-improving man man instead of "Alpha" people will actually listen to you and often agree, or pretend to).
NeoreactionSafe 8y ago
What?
You mean the Blue Pill is a mythology?
And the Red Pill is truth.

CopperFox3c 8y ago
Kanazawa is fairly well-known around TRP. He is also highly controversial in some scientific circles, and has even been censured by his own university.
The interesting part of this, and his views on Feminism and multiculturalism and the like, is how someone merely questioning the established dogma of political correctness draws such a vehement response by scientists themselves. It speaks to the amount of confirmation bias coming out of scientific circles these days, particularly social scientists. When really, isn't the entire point of science to constantly question what we think to be true?

Soft sciences are real disciplines. The trouble is that it's so much easier to get away with spouting nonsense than in hard sciences. I think it is just a result of cognitive biases that people have trouble recognizing or even being willing to correct once they are recognized. The only reason you don't have the same problem in hard science is that the universe won't let you get away with it.

Oh, wait, we have the TRP where social hypotheses and theories are refined through repeated experiment allowing us to build a practical body of knowledge regarding the mating strategies of human men and women that doesn't rely upon emotion as the canon of truth.
EDIT: they're

If you read the anti piece: https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/snow-white-doesnt-live-here-anymore/200908/why-anti-feminism-is-illogical-unnecessary-evil-and
it's all bullshit and feelings with zero context or foundation in greater or plain reality. It's about her experience, with some referral to other women, that deals ardently in all of things. The ability to get a man.
I mean come the fuck on. You want to talk about Anti-Feminism and how it is Illogical, Unnecessary, Evil, and Incredibly Unsexy. Then at least try to point false claims that feminism isn't damaging society, women, or western culture. She doesn't do this. Instead she just goes "oh woe is me, I'm a woman and I've had a hard time finding a man and I became an academic rather than a professional, and oh don't forget the fact that I don't mention whether or not I'm married and how I did or did not meet my husband because I'm a 'feminist' and how other women are facing the same challenges, and my entire piece in no way intelligently deals with the piece I'm attacking, i'm just writing for attention because that's all a modern feminist can do, get attention."
DjonkeC 8y ago
It's just a matter of accepting these facts and realising you'll never be able to rationally discuss these things with a modern feminist. So, don't even try as you're going to end up furious if you can't stand stupidity, which most sane people cannot.

Someone care to explain what all of these super low level ultra lame trp posts are doing here lately? Where are the tinder optimization posts? The business insider tips and the 1 year field reports that we actually give a shit about.

About this women being more unhappy subject...
Isn't that ok though? Do we want women to depend more on men?
Of course if you work, you're going to be less happy, or is it that men are actually happier when working?
bornredd 8y ago
I know I am happier when working.
I think that from a current married man perspective, I don't care if most women are happy or not. From a single man perspective, it's probably a good thing if you're a high status male, but shitty if you're not - which seems to be a theme.

I have a feeling that the old William Blake 'The busy bee has no time for sorrow' mostly applies to men. Most women get fullfillment from raising kids. Feminism tries to suppress that urge.
Eyes_Of_The_Dragon 8y ago
The more "freedom and equality" they get, the less happy they are.
greatslyfer 8y ago
Thanks for repeating what everyone's been saying without addressing what I actually said...
makeshift98 8y ago
You mean to say that a movement that seeks "equality for women", that's run by women, is based primarily on emotional nonsense with absolutely zero facts to back it up?
rathyAro 8y ago
I read Barreca's article and it doesn't really contradict Kanezawa's article like it intends to. They are talking about two very different kinds of feminism. I wonder how much of the radical feminism that is "ruining the world" even exists.
herewegoaga1n 8y ago
Women were literally burned to death in cages and not one fucking feminist did anything to stop it.
mikesteane 8y ago
Can you tell us what this is about?
herewegoaga1n 8y ago
For all their cavorting for "equality" and other nonsense, MFers (Modern Feminists) are just power-hungry, self-serving gas-bags that use an echo chamber instead of action. One could argue AFALT, [but it takes a special kind of sociopath to fully commit to the illusion.]( https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kQI12iGAF84) Then again, aging feminists are now angry they can't find men now that they spent their youth "fighting the patriarchy".
In the end, innocent people died because Americans (and the world) were too chicken to stop a proxy war. But I guess busting the chops of a rich swimmer is more important.
mikesteane 8y ago
My question was, in effect, which war are you talking about?
herewegoaga1n 8y ago
The proxy war with U.S. backing ISIS, Turkey planting false flags along with the president's son backing an arm of ISIS, the Kurds and Yizidi getting fucked in the middle, and Russian bombing campaigns that are nothing short of heroic given they were betrayed by the EU.

This is such a great article that I think it should be a required reading. Great find. Also I tried reading that anti-feminism article and all I got was a boring autobiography of some idiot. I'm actually upset that I spent some time reading it.
[deleted] 8y ago
if feminists truly cared about women's progress, why focus solely on america? how about women in africa? what's more important, a few cents an hour pay increase in the US, or clean drinking water for your kids?
icecow 8y ago
There is no standards for journalism anymore. It's rare to read an article by either sex that doesn't include slants and pokes like "Incredibly Unsexy" We live in a Idiocracy (taken from the movie with the same name). There's no way one can put up a bulletproof argument and expect a majority of people to agree. I don't know if one ever could, but now it's entirely laughable.

"There are some feminists -- and again, I'm paraphrasing their quote -- they'll say, 'There is no such thing as a male or female brain, as there is no such thing as a male or female pancreas or liver,' right? 'So the organ that defines your personhood is actually gender-neutral.' Now that is astonishing because we are a sexually reproducing species, so one of the foundational tenets on which biological understanding happens is that we have two types of polymorphisms, if you'd like; two types -- we have a male and a female, so that we can sexually reproduce. So the idea that much of this is social construction is just laughable." -- Gad Saad Joe Rogan and Gad Saad - Evolution vs. Feminism

None of the above is part of feminism. It's just the crude interpretation of feminism that you find on the internet. Real feminism never assumed men and women were the same. Many feminists think women have always had it better than men in every culture (war, anyone?) Feminism has saved more lives than you can imagine-if you could have seen how people lived in the 50s, with strict gender roles, everyone taking valium to cope, you would have a different perspective. Women love men. There is nothing in this world as wonderful and brilliant as a big, good, man, hair and all. We all want one. Women need your strength and your aggression-but we need your respect, too.
If motherhood and making people in your body were honored and respected and supported, there would never have been a women's movement. But no one wants to be unappreciated of either gender. Women's inventions and contributions are glossed over. No one wants to live like that. I hope you study or at least listen to the real women's movement, because it has much in common with red pill. Remember, the political right has turned feminism into something it was never intended to be.
dracolius 8y ago
Pretty bold posting that view here. You've got a point, though. I think when we treat each other inhumanely it reduces efficiency, and it's hard to deny that a culture which tends to hide and marginalize actual victims of serious mistreatment could benefit from some reform.
The question is how to provide better protection for those who really need it without going too far and opening the door to other kinds of unexpected exploitation. When you create a coddled "protected class", in the long run it can do more harm than good. It's a fine tuned, pragmatic balancing act that idealism doesn't always help with.
hesalop 8y ago
What you said I agree with and it actually resonated with me when you said that feminism at its roots is similar to how TRP is now. That's such a powerful statement to me honestly because it made me realize that once upon a time women were being treated unfairly, just as men are right now. Clearly women's basic human rights were being violated in the past and feminism had to come into play to solve that problem; unfortunately it's now creating an uneven balance in the opposite direction.
Also, the author stated "Modern feminism" so this really isn't a debate about the history of feminism but it's a very interesting topic nonetheless.

What is it that is not part of feminism, (not that you have a unique right to define feminism, I'm just nor sure what you are saying isn't a part of it)?
And you have the right to define what feminism is and exclude those feminists who disagree with you (they are not "real")?
Can you give examples and evidence for this please.
Valium was approved by the Food and Drugs administration on November 15, 1963.
Can you give some examples?
The political right? Are these the "not real" feminists who claim men and women are the same? The way it is normally phrased ("gender is a social construct") is the rhetoric of the far left.
