Most of them are documentaries covering the corruption of companies like Monsanto, Dupont, Dow, Halliburton, Cabot Oil & Gas, Range resources, etc.
Documentaries like The World According to Monsanto, Gasland, Split Estate, etc.
I'm a conspiracy journalist so I'm practically the definition of a Red Pill pharmacist.

THE ULTIMATE----The Godfather. Michael starts out beta doing what society and that bitch kay want him to do. The movie progresses and he becomes a true man, taking over the family.

A history of violence. Limitless.
thecajunone 12y ago
Viggo played a beta in that movie. Sure Joey was a great killer but when it came to his wife he let her walk all over him the entire movie.
rich02468 12y ago
You could be right. It's been a little while since I saw it, but what sticks out is that rough sex scene.
thecajunone 12y ago
I just rewatched it. Yeah the sex scene was pretty dominant on his part but at the end she just shoves him away and he lays on the stairs, limp, defeated.

Gone With the Wind and Kiss them for Me. In fact loads of those old films have got red pill behaviour in them.
Whisper 12y ago
Not a movie, but the HBO miniseries "Rome" is great for showing a society that valued its alphas and their masculine virtues.
oreopimp 12y ago
Rome / Deadwood = solid hours of man time right there
TheIslander829 12y ago
Not a movie, but the TV show House Of Cards.
oreopimp 12y ago
Kevin Space is an amazing red pill alpha through and through in this. Plus it's just a damn good series.
[deleted] 12y ago
There are a few instances where he really fucks up and displays a lot of anger at his wife, and then he fucks up again, by being a wimp when apologizing. He's also evidently butt-hurt by what happens with the reporter girl.
I haven't seen the whole thing yet, but that's only two instances of non-alpha behaviour from Underwood that I've noticed. And what's more is that these instances, these minor slips, actually bring a more human element to him. It is hard to be alpha about everything all the time. I'm sure it's possible, but it would take a shit load of emotional and intellectual strength to be so.

Blue Valentine.
These are Roissy's words, not mine:
I agree completely. Roissy's article on the movie is here:
http://heartiste.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/beta-valentine/
oreopimp 12y ago
This movie hurts so hard to watch. Its the ultimate decline into blue pill. Worth watching if you want to see what fate could be like and is like for a good number of guys.
Id also add in watching Girls. Watch the 1st season for the Adam character...love his character. Alpha in the way he handles the main girl character (although him dating a girl that looks like her you're just going to have to ignore)...and then watch the trainwreck that is season 2 for how they ruin his character and have him go overly beta. I hate it for what they did to the character but it is eye opening to watch happen.
slfnflctd 12y ago
I just read Roissy's article and holy crap does that ever describe the disgusting beta role I've been playing throughout my life. It sounds pretty close to the relationship I was in for most of my 20s, actually.
Not sure I could stand to watch it, but I might have to make myself at some point as part of reinforcing my new perspective.

The Right Stuff for sure.
Ommin 12y ago
Somewhat obvious one, but most of the James Bond series. There are some failings for sure, but he gets every women he wants and they don't hold him back, he always completes his mission, he's got all sorts of skills and he's an expert in all of them, and he dresses well/is fit. Maybe not the movies themselves so much as him as a role model?

Kramer vs Kramer - 80s Dad blindsided by frivolous divorce, learns that family court is stacked against men. Way ahead of its time.
Saving Private Ryan - Male disposability, male teamwork.
r_rships_account 12y ago
Ultimately, though, Dustin's character is a total beta who tries unsuccessfully to prove his parental worth to the Family Court by feminising himself. And he gets to keep the kids not because of any doing of his but because of another whim on his wife's part.
RedditBlueit 12y ago
True. It's a mixed bag, but at least it didn't hew to the "man cheats, wife dumps him, he becomes deadbeat dad, she lives happily ever after with millionaire handyman" trope.

(500) Days of Summer.
QuietlyLearning 12y ago
I'd like to hear the reasoning on this one.
TheIslander829 12y ago
It's in the same wave as M3's Confessions Of A Reformed Incel.
It's a cautionary tale, basically.
QuietlyLearning 12y ago
I just watched it and definitely got that gibe. Very well laid out movie. Thanks for suggesting it.
ToTheLogicalExtreme 12y ago
Because I think it's a more realistic movie about love, what a guy goes through being madly in love and what a woman goes through. Don't know what more I can say without spoiling the movie.
Edit: Oh yea, women also love the movie, that should tell you something.
oreopimp 12y ago
Here is an excellent breakdown of the movie. The movie is totally blue pill cautionary tale.
500 Days of Beta:
http://heartiste.wordpress.com/2009/08/28/500-days-of-beta/
"It’s possible the director intended his movie to be a subversive precautionary tale for men — act like this guy and you’ll be a loser in love — but I think it likelier that the movie’s point was to serve as a nostalgic wallowing for hopeless romantics (you know, the kind of guy who describes himself as a feminist and is always ready to hoist his latest lust object onto a gilded pedestal) and the c’est la vie wing of the aggro-emo feminized buttplugging beta masses. Case in point: Tom never changes his stripes and never understands how he fucked up. The overriding message of the movie is: Hey man, sometimes love hurts. And chicks are mysterious forces who want what their hearts want, so there’s nothing you can do about it except dance to their tune.
Give this movie to me and I would have had a mentor teach Tom the fine art of sacking up, blessed him with some game and LTR tips, and informed him of the bestial nature of women. Then the movie would have been re-titled 5 Days of Summer, because Summer would have run crying from the room after she found Tom boffing her hotter best friend"
EDIT: ALSO something to consider on the why women love this movie is found in the comments section...and one well worth considering in romantic movies of this nature:
[heartiste: one of the commenters above mentioned an intriguing possibility -- female viewers identify with the beta male instead of the lead female antagonist. that is, they see themselves, and all their romantic folly chasing alpha males, in the beta male's plight and totally miss the connection between the female antagonist and their own cold treatment of betas in their lives.]
QuietlyLearning 12y ago
The bit about women identifying with JGL's character was quite eye opening. I watched it with a lady friend and alas, she pointed this out herself. Didn't give it too much weight at first and this breakdown just confirms it.
Thanks for the link.
oreopimp 12y ago
It's Hollywood's version of a red pill relationship. The roles are just reversed. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the woman and Zooey Deschanel is the alpha-like man. And w that in mind THE RELATIONSHIP PLAYS OUT EXACTLY HOW IT SHOULD.
r_rships_account 12y ago
It's so weird that women like the movie. It shows that they don't see anything amiss in the girl's behaviour.
oreopimp 12y ago
Ha you're not seeing it properly. When women watch the movie, they don't relate to the female character they relate to the guys character.
As I said above:

Gone with the Wind. Rhett Butler is a man to be studied and emulated.
Les Miserables. Valjean embodies the virtues of being a Man in a pre-feminized society.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall
burningtimber 12y ago
The Big Sleep, 1946. (Happens to be the basis for The Big Lebowski). Detective Philip Marlowe, played by Bogart, displays admirable skepticism in dealing with several treacherous women.
And half a vote for Rio Bravo, with John Wayne. I skipped over the "romance" subplot, but the core of the movie is the masculine trio of sheriff and deputies. One awesome, one drunk, and one elderly and decrepit.
A key turning point in the film is based not on stunt tricks with horses or rifles, but on how bullshit-proof an aging cop can be.
GlowingRedPill 12y ago
Fight Club
Quote of the main character: "Mommy wouldn't let me play soccer... and Daddy, he hit me, so that's who I am, that's why I do what I do? Fucking bullshit. I will not apologize for who I am. I will not apologize for what I need. I will not apologize for what I want! "
Whisper 12y ago
I don't agree.
I mean, Tyler Durden has some good lines, but remember that the whole point of the movie is that Tyler Durden is a form of insanity that he must rid himself of in order to be worthy of the woman.
oreopimp 12y ago
Wrong. Tyler is not a form of insanity he needs to rid himself of...Tyler is the sleeping red pill giant that lives in every man, that woke up and took a life of its own. The point at the end is the he integrates Tyler into who he is. They become one. The red pill warrior w no leash meshes into the rational sleeping blue pill part of the main character, so that in the end they are the same person. A person who is fully awake.
[deleted] 12y ago
[deleted]
oreopimp 12y ago
Exactly. He doesnt rid himself of Tyler. They become each other. Tyler wakes up Jack.
QuietlyLearning 12y ago
I'd like to see a full breakdown of this movie done here. I'll do it myself if no one a bit more versed in the red pill does.

I'd go as far as saying American Psycho. Bateman really doesn't give two shits about the women in his life. He's wealthy, has his shit together and does whatever he wants. Then there's that whole killing thing. I don't know if that would disqualify it. I don't believe being a serial killer is part of the red pill.
legendofpasta 12y ago
Epitome of red pill. American psycho the book is great too.
I also highly recommend Alfie(1966) starring Michael Caine. Red as all hell. Puts the new one to shame.
And anything with Charlton Heston in it. He was red pill since 1950. He always fought against political correctness, and publicly talked about how it's wrong to shame whites/men/founding principles/masculinity. He told the Harvard law grad class that their grandfather's would think they were cowards. I might add as well, he marched with dr. King. He was against discrimination AND reverse discrimination. These values all come our in his movies.
r_rships_account 12y ago
I think that Alfie may ultimately be rather beta, great movie though it is. The protagonist starts out incredibly blue-pill, and loses his innocence in the course of the film, but given the extent of his betaness at the start he's coming off a pretty low level. While he loses that sense of trust in female companions, I don't think he ever develops sufficient insight into the social, biological and economic phenomena that we're concerned with.
legendofpasta 12y ago
Blue pill? Michael Caine? Naaaaw no way. He's unplugged he just doesn't know he's unplugged. He stumbles at the end when he tries to reinsert himself back into the Matrix though
oreopimp 12y ago
Typical hollywood style bs ending. They did the same thing in Crazy Stupid Love and ruined what was 2/3rds of a good movie.

Scarface.
zionController 12y ago
Watched it again last week for the first time since high school. That man is so alpha it made me feel beta. There is just no way to compete with that animal. I know, fiction and what not, but seriously, with red pill knowledge you can basically pick scarface as the guy who could fuck annnnnny one he wants.
[deleted] 12y ago
Actually, I think he is completely beta with the oneitis for his sister. Thinking his sister is some angel to be kept chaste when it is clear she is nothing but a bathroom stall whore.
[deleted] 12y ago
he is bound to her by blood. so what can he do? he has to lead her, she is family... at least he has to try.
[deleted] 12y ago
Right but the way he reacts is 100% beta. Absolutely no sophistication.
I would completely shut them out if they behaved in that manner.
[deleted] 12y ago
It's a cultural thing. Hispanics are like that with their sisters.
[deleted] 12y ago
hmm, its too long ago i saw that movie,
i should watch it again, then come back and tell you how wrong you are!
[deleted] 12y ago
I don't think he's alpha when it comes to his sister at all.
[deleted] 12y ago
he is filling his role as a man (what he believes as his role). he sees himself as the head of the family and is trying to protect her and lead her.
now i cant remember the scene you are talking about, but overall he is leading and takes responsibility for others. he is alpha by definition (leader, at the top of the hierarchy). maybe you can explain why you think hes "beta" more in depth?
[deleted] 12y ago
I said he is beta when it comes to his sister. Mainly:
You might argue that killing his friend is alpha but it's not. He lets this woman get to him and screw up his entire frame and life. His best friend! His obsession with his sister eventually costs him everything, including his sister's life.
Scarface may even be a movie about a beta who is trying to overcompensate. The only alpha in that movie, in my opinion, is Sosa. "Don't fuck me Tony. Don't you ever try to fuck me."
rbcrusaders 11y ago
if protecting your family isnt red pill then what the fuck is?
[deleted] 12y ago
shes his sister, thats why he sees it as his duty to protect her, not because he thinks she is an angel and innocent. the opposite actually. if she was innocent and an angel he wouldnt have to do anything since she would act as she is supposed to on her own
well, sometimes it is justified to get angry and blow up. it is natural and normal. its a part of being human. we all get angry and we all blow up at some point if pushed far enough.
are you still talking about his sister? you realize he is bound to her by blood, he didnt chose to be with her. if this was about a wife or girlfriend i would agree that you should just drop them.
like i addressed above you cant realy cut of family. of course there can be reaons to do that, but you would tolerate more from your family until you do that, than you would with somebody who isnt part of your family
getting angry can be productive just like changing somebody.it can work. and even if its unproductive, his reaction wasnt weak or wrong. any man with pride and who values family and reputation would react the way he did.
its a beta who would just accept the situation thinking he cant do anything about it.
[deleted] 12y ago
Can't believe no one's said the matrix.
legendofpasta 12y ago
I was going to, but I thought it would be too obvious. Surprised you're the first
[deleted] 12y ago
I haven't watched it in awhile, I wonder how many lines I could pull from it and apply to RP philosophy. Dozens at least i would guess.
QuietlyLearning 12y ago
Hell, the relationship dynamic between Neo, Trinity, and Cypher, is representitive of the red pill. Neo is a red pill alpha waking up and embracing the truth. Cypher was woken up but refused to step up to the role of saving the world and instead longs for the bluepill fantasy. Trinity is the female that is attracted to Neo because he accepts the red pill lifestyle.
I'll have to post the writeup on The Matrix as applied to modern life that I did for one of my classes.
[deleted] 11y ago
Sounds interesting. Have you posted it yet?
QuietlyLearning 11y ago
To be quite honest, I decided against it because the Allegory of the Cave is a much better distillation (or base since it is one of the main influences on The Matrix).
[deleted] 12y ago
Do it! Like I said, I haven't seen it since taking the red pill. I'm definitely going to watch it this weekend.
