WhereAreAllTheGoodMen Sidebar
We're just a bunch of clueless NiceGuys™ with kindness coins that don't seem to work in women's holes so that the sex we're "entitled to" falls out. Because apparently we weren't demonstrating good relationship material through the attention, respect and stability that women demand. We were only "pretending" to be nice just to get laid.
In response to r/niceguys, this forum is dedicated to exposing all the women who complain about wanting a "good man" after dating jerks and riding the cock carousel in the prime of their youth, and think they're deserving of commitment and financial stability when all they have left to offer is their depreciating looks, narcissistic mentality, used-up vaginas, and another man's kids.
Women in their 20s have numerous opportunities to date the decent men they claim to want, but many reject or friendzone these men for jerks and promiscuity. She takes advantage of a good dude's kindness for attention and favors, then accuses him of being a bad person who thinks he's entitled to sex.
But when she's in her 30s with depreciating looks, jerks who won't commit, the likelihood of being a single mom, and the social pressure from her married friends, she asks "Where have all the good men gone?"[1][2] Funny how back when she was chasing the bad boys "Being nice is the bare minimum", but now that she's past her prime and needs a bailout, she wants a man with nice guy traits.
Furthermore, dating jerks and riding the carousel before settling down with a good man is planned by many women, and encouraged by feminists. They then come to the dating market with unreasonable standards while offering little to no value themselves. Such women are totally unaware that the mature, stable men they now need are the same decent men they rejected, except these men remember the rejection and are responding in kind to avoid unstable, unappreciative women who view them more as ATMs than romantic partners.
The reason women end up here is because their behavior is not exposed as the lucid, self-destructive, feminist ideology that it is. And we're here to help Good Men guard their commitment and resources by exposing women who would make poor life partners and mothers of their children. Providing observations and opinions on the posts here allows us to better understand women's psyche and later depressive/miserable state when they are not held to a moral standard required for healthy, functioning relationships.

I would bet my house that there have been plenty of men in her life that would love her and appreciate that sort of treatment but she rejected them because they weren't Chad or Tyrone.
Lone_Ranger Sr. Hamster Analyst 1y ago
Reading this, I almost felt sorry for her. Almost. Then I re-read it. And then I read between the lines.
She says
"I want to give someone a home"
What she means is
"I want a man to give ME a home, that he pays for. I deserve more than a shitty room in a flat share on the crappy side of town. I deserve what those women have on TV, the house in the leafy suburb."
She says;
"I want to cook someone their favourite dinner. I want to fold someone's clothes'.
She means;
"I am really NOT enjoying this work thing. I hate it. Getting up early and then actually doing 9 hours of work. What I want is to stay at home, while a man goes out into the big bad world to pay for a big house for me to lounge around in. I will reluctantly cook dinner and fold a few clothes (max 1.5 hrs per day), and the rest of the time I will eat like a pig, get fat, and watch TV"
She says;
"I want to buy someone their favourite treat"
She means;
"I want unlimited access to cash that I didn't have to earn. In return, I will occasionally buy the man some token thing, with the money that I actually took from his bank account"
She says
"I want to grocery shopping with someone"
She means
"I want someone else to pay for my groceries for me."
She says
"I want to drive around with someone"
She means
"I want to be driven around in a car that was paid for by a man that earns a lot of money. It had better be a Rover or a Benz. And I will complain all the while!"
She says;
"It would feel like winning the lottery to me"
She means
"I want to win the lottery, and I am not prepared to buy a ticket"

I thought the same. 1950's bourgeois housewives had it made and they blew it.
My wife insisted on buying me a cake (we're married so it's not really her buying it for me) but I appreciate the gesture. She really does want me to feel special so I picked a cake and she's happy. My wife LOVES to cook and clean. She's a Soviet Woman who wants to work, cook, and clean and yell that we're not working hard enough. Basically, a female drill sergeant but she at least has a work ethic. Anyways, I don't want to give away my age but it's enough I get senior coffee's at McD's.
Anyhoo, she wants to come across as loving but her "protect and lead" nonsense sounds like a demand and shit test so I lost all sympathy with her then. She wants to submit? That's easy: Just Submit. Any woman can submit. Have you read King Thrushbeard?
I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Where are all these childless women in their 20’s and 30’s at?? Seriously. Where I live you can’t extend your arms without hitting 12 single moms, most with more than one baby daddy, who have been married but divorced after a couple years and still look down on guys like me because I’m not mega Chad. Just a dude who’s a solid 7, no kids, no debt, and yet dating has always been a goddamn struggle for me.
nicknack 1y ago
It’s a struggle for everyone bro. The exception is rich gigachads but even they end up with beautiful whores who ruin their lives because they’re crazy and selfish. Your average Chad isn’t attracted to 7s the same way you aren’t attracted to 5s. They are going after 9s and as we know girls date up so he needs to be a 10 or gets treated like shit.
woodsmoke Respectful reprobate 1y ago
If you're a 7 and you're not attracted to 5s you need to reevaluate your selection criteria.
Which is a fancy way of saying get down off your fucking high horse and stop behaving like an entitled woman.
nicknack 1y ago
I’m attracted enough to fives but cant get myself to want to commit to them. Have tried it many times, some for years even. Happier alone. Maybe I am acting like a woman, I admit.
hornetsfalcons12 Sr. Hamster Analyst 1y ago
On the same token, you stay equally attractive to them, while they get less attractive to you.
Unless they’re going to pass on great genetics to your lineage, it’s quite understandable why you wouldn’t want to commit to them
nicknack 1y ago
I’ve told myself this too. If she’s from an obviously high tier genetic family, is tall, and kind a 5 is fine. Problem is usually high tier genetic families have beautiful kids, 5s are usually from lower stock. Generally speaking
NotaBene Sr. Hamster Analyst 1y ago
All women want this naturally, and it's proof of a fallen/corrupted world that we actively repress this desire in them, to the detriment of both sexes. We don't ask young women, "Which young man are you going to marry," but instead, "Where are you going to college?"
The older you get and the more men you've been with, the more rusted and broken the lock becomes. Eventually no key will work due to your emotional baggage and impossible standards.
polishknight WAATGM Endorsed 1y ago
What's "natural" isn't necessarily healthy. For example, young men "naturally" want to be lazy, play video games instead of reading books, perhaps be either submissive or overly aggressive. Good parenting and society is about shaping one's "natural" inclinations, or even blunting them if needed, to be a useful adult. Lazy boys can perhaps learn to think inventively to find solutions instead of doing something "the hard way", for example. Overly aggressive boys can be taught to be ambitious in their career. Sometimes, a child just needs a good spanking or time out.
Trad-thot demands seem wholesome in some ways. What could be the problem with a woman saying she wants a man to "lead?" But in womanese, what it really means is "I want him to give me something without me asking for it." I often tell this story about how I asked a woman on a date what movie she wanted to see and she said, quote, "Whatever you want to watch". I chose "Texas Chainsaw Massacre II" and she griped to her friends about what a jerk I was. Granted, as a "leader" I could have picked something that she maybe had a better chance of enjoying but still, she told me she wanted me to pick solely based upon what I wanted. Rather than accept responsibility for what she said, she got all gripey about it.
Such "submissive" women don't want "leaders", they want mind readers who provide for them what SHE wants while she doesn't have to take responsibility for it. She can gripe and nag at him that he's not "leading" properly and say she's giving him "useful feedback". One such woman told me "I'm giving out quality control advice."
This woman in this example perhaps really did "look" for men in her 20's but we know here that she probably sat around at cafes waiting for a perfect PUA approach or she went online and swiped on chad and then wondered why "all" men only want P&Ds.
I look back at my grandmothers who were born in 1905 and they didn't have this "wait for a man to protect me" nonsense going on. My grandmother grabbed a guy that her older sister rejected. Women in the old days that valued marriage didn't have fantasy demands.
mattyanon TRP Endorsed 1y ago
I think there are two forms this can take. They never want to lead or make decisions or take responsibility themselves.
At its best this looks like this: they want you to lead, they appreciate it, happily follow, and the prioritise your needs because you're the leader. They recognise that the person following doesn't make the decisions and doesn't get to choose as much as the leader in exchange for... well... not being the leader. Your happiness is their priority. They appreciate your leadership and happily take the follower role and genuinely like it.
This honestly feels weird to me, but it's pretty good.
At worst it is as you described: they do nothing but demand you do everything. These girls say things like "because you're the man" and "because I'm the girl"... it's a transparent disguise over a girl being lazy as fuck while demanding everything.
polishknight WAATGM Endorsed 1y ago
I think there are genuine "follower" women out there and they tend to comprise the single moms in that they crave a man being the "protective leader" so much, they don't care if he's lousy at it. A woman friend of mine whose well educated fell for a man way below her because he asked her out on a mediocre dinner date and that's her fantasy. "Protector/leader!" He didn't have to spend much money but because he gave her the Harlequin romance, she tried to make it work with him for 7 years. Her brother (also a friend) joked that maybe her body was smarter than her brain and stopped her from getting pregnant. The guy otherwise was an alcoholic loser who couldn't stay employed and she left him. A lot of single mothers probably have similar stories: They got the "protector/leader" and the guy doesn't perform as an adult and then they sincerely want that beta male protector/provider but now saddled with a kid, smarter beta males (such as myself) would keep distance.
The other ones are passive-aggressive who say they want the man to lead and then nag and complain or withhold sex, etc. to "hint" to him what direction he's supposed to "lead" her. This is common particularly with women who never get married because they think they're submissive but the "chemistry" isn't there when the guy doesn't magically do exactly what she wants.
Finally, just because women want a man in a certain role doesn't mean she's entitled to it. If a man said he felt entitled to a submissive woman to provide him with sex on demand regardless of his income earning skills or looks, he'd get laughed out of the room. "Women don't owe you anything!" we'd hear and rightly so but yet women think just because they want something, even "naturally", that us men should give it to them.
woodsmoke Respectful reprobate 1y ago
There absolutely are genuine follower women. More importantly, however, it's entirely within the power of an individual woman to choose to follow even if doing so isn't necessarily her natural inclination.
I learned a few different ballroom dance styles in my early 20s and kept it up as a hobby for most of that decade. Last summer I met a woman in a play and we decided to go out dancing one night, which was how I discovered I haven't been out in far too long. I still remember the basic steps for all the styles and can sort of muddle through for a song or two but I'm far from competent anymore. Realizing how rusty I was shook my confidence a fair bit and that carried over into my leading. The woman with whom I was dancing was far more accomplished (and well-practiced) than I was, and though she was being a good sport about it I could tell she was getting frustrated. At one point, after a small stumble on my part, she actually tried to take the lead herself, and when I wouldn't let her she stopped for a moment, took a deep breath, closed her eyes and just followed whatever I did.
Things went a lot better after that. Still not great, but reasonably well, and what I suspect we both were fearing would turn into a miserable night instead remained pleasant and enjoyable chiefly because she consciously chose to get out of the way and give me a chance to pull things back.
We ultimately didn't work out for reasons of faith (namely, I don't share hers), but I still have a lot of respect for that woman, single mother and all.
polishknight WAATGM Endorsed 1y ago
That dancing story is a neat analogy for real life situations. Sometimes, women are better at doing "manly" things such as perhaps auto repair or even earning money but the problem is that women then use these skills to threaten his masculinity and then comment "It's tough to find a man that isn't threatened by a strong woman" when that's what 'strong' women do. Strong men use their strength to help women, not threaten them.
If a woman is a better dancer, it would be ok for me (and if it was ok with with her) to pick up some good dance steps and then later I could lead as well.
In one case, there was this daughter of my landlord about 30 years ago who met a guy she liked but he didn't have a skill so she put him through plumber school and then he got a great job and all went well. Women in the old days helped make their men rather than wait at the finish line.
Ironically, I think women of my grandmother's era probably were a lot more liberated, strong, and responsible than modern women. The stereotype of the Victorian woman needing smelling salts if someone said the words "fanny pack" is about privileged, spoiled bourgeois women, not ordinary women who had to earn a living like the rest of us.
We've modeled "ladies" and "gentlemen" after privileged women and men, not how most people actually need to live hence why women buy expensive handbags to pretend they're rich and impress other women.
woodsmoke Respectful reprobate 1y ago
That's the key. There are, of course, exceptional men who possess both the ambition and ability to conquer any obstacle placed before them, but such men are generally rare as hen's teeth. Most successful men got where they did because they had someone in their corner, sharing the load and enabling them to devote their full attention to that conquest, but also providing a good part of the drive for it as well.
Small wonder so many men are "failing" today, having no practical options beyond "cinch up your belt and scale the mountain yourself," and no real motivation for doing so beyond a vague hope it will work out the way they want it to on the other side.

We're in for some interesting times as the balance between the genders corrects itself. We made the monumental mistake of granting women the vote in the early 1900s, and from then on it was a steady march of destructive feminism.
Now that's it's so bad men are just opting out, and half of women remain unmarried and childless, we're going to see a huge wave/generation of women like your grandmothers, who all of a sudden think that homesteading, housekeeping, and excellent wifery are more worthy pursuits than college/career/whoring.
You're seeing this now, but only in small pockets of conservatism/tradwifery. I expect it will be much larger, even nationally popular.
Basically I hope that someday we have no need of this forum anymore :)

I'm also optimistic about the future. It can only get so bad before things reset. I share your sentiment, but I think a place like this will still be needed given the inherent nature of women.
I'd just like things not to be so damn extreme like they are now.

Specifically we started granting enfranchisement without the attendant responsibility for it. Someone that cannot pay their own way should not get a vote on expending the public largess. Someone that is not expected to fight should not get to vote on going to war.
NotaBene Sr. Hamster Analyst 1y ago
I kinda want to hit the "reset" button and go back to when only White, Christian, land-owning men could vote. Or even just scrap the whole democracy thing, it was made for a moral people and cannot last once we've lost that, same as Rome.

No need to murder anyone, I don't vote at all. You can have my vote, not going to do anything anyway in this very very blue state. And my wife doesn't vote because obviously women shouldn't vote at all. So that's two useless votes you can have, as long as you aren't voting for Brandon.
See that was easy, saved you all the effort of killing anyone too.

Babe there is a 61 year old retired (disabled) man living alone in rural Louisiana. He is kind, he doesn't drink too much. He's overweight but he's strong because he chops firewood secretly despite being retired for a bad back. He will happily give you a family. He will love, protect, and lead you in his lifestyle. He will make you feel safe with his gun locker and hounds, as well as his hunting cameras on property. He also has motion lights installed all over the property. He will happily receive your home and the untapped love that's in your heart. He will unlock your fountain of love with his key and bathe in your torrential admiration. He will eat his favorite dinner every time you cook it. He will appreciate that his clothes are folded and clean. He will seek your comfort when he has bad days and the treat you buy him will reinforce his love for you. It will never be a surprise to him because he knows the kind of love you're giving him. He'll let you brush his hair even though it annoys him because he knows you're showing love (cat needles but you let the cat sit). He'll fall asleep on your thigh. He'll take you grocery shopping and carry his firearm so you feel safe. He'll pay and take you home the long way so you can look at the Fall leaves. He won't take anything for granted with you. He'll make you feel like you won the lottery every day. He's more real than your wad of blankets.

Im 30, a friend of mine recently married a man like this (but 51). All of my other female friends scowled, made fun of her, talked behind her back, it was an unhappy vibe at the wedding for sure.
However she’s the happiest of all of these bitter old hags. The rest of them are getting pumped and dumped over and over, going nowhere and contemplating freezing their eggs. Meanwhile this friend is building a beautiful weekend home in the mountians
hornetsfalcons12 Sr. Hamster Analyst 1y ago
Sounds about right. Quit being a stickler about age, spinsters. A 51 year old man is perfectly capable of making a family and being around long enough to care for them. Once you actually understand your worth and make a few changes to your mindset, you’d realize that there’s still plenty of men who would be happy to add you to their life.
Of course, if you are only filtering for the successful, physically attractive men who are around your age (meaning they’re still on the SMV/MMV rise), then enjoy your cats.
GimmeTheUsual Sr. Hamster Analyst 1y ago
Women could be happy, but that requires breaking out of the comfort of a group that has been utterly corrupted to feel no shame.
Does it all end in a large "Ant Death Spiral" as they circle around and around, until they age out? Not sure, but crashing birthrates aren't painting a pleasant picture for the long-term.
The fighter in me says "No, do not go gentle into that good night".
The accelerationist in me that wants the reset says "Its only when we lose everything that we're free to do anything."
We're close to the point where one of those things happens collectively as a society.

As others have noted, she's silent on what she's been doing for the last decade to achieve this dream of hers. The simple truth is that if she had been realistically working on acheiving it she would already have done so.
That leaves a few possibilities, and almost all of them are bad... and her fault.
It's possible that she's been unable to do anything about it due do being in a ten-year coma, or being solely responsible for caring for physically impaired relatives. I would give her a pass on something like that, but that is highly unlikely.
The other possibilities include stuff like chasing some combination of credentials, career, and hedonism. Combine any or all of those with the "princess" mindset so many women have that causes them to reject men who are in their league.
She also gives us no clue as to why the real-life version of the man in her fantasy would choose her, other than her claim to want to be a trad-wife.
For some odd reason a lot of post 27-year-old women discover the allure of tradwifery. It's almost like an... Epiphany.

Yeah, but if that was the case, she would have opened with such story. Since she didn't bother to even offer some explanation, I'm guessing she has had a lot of situationships and would describe her situation with her ex as complicated.
lurkerhasarisen A Strategist Among Tacticians 1y ago
True. I often point that out to people who trot out the, "SHE MIGHT BE A WIDOW!" trope when we criticize unwed mothers .
Widows are not even in the same area code as baby-mammas and everyone knows it. Women know they're competing against each other for the "top" men, so any woman under 70 who doesn't specify that she's a widow should be presumed to not be one. I don't like to make absolute statements without facts, though, so I tend to use words like "highly unlikely."
Problematic_Browser Sr. Hamster Analyst 1y ago
If there is a statement of fact that can absolve a woman of responsibility, you can rest assured she will lead with it.

Everytime I read something like that I wish I had a crystal ball to see what she was doing for the last 10 years, relationship wise. Then I remember I don'd need the crystal ball; all I need is to know she's single at 29 y.o.
Also, I would very much like to see how long her giving would last until she started complaining about how he doesn't help her cooking or do laundry.
polishknight WAATGM Endorsed 1y ago
I think I can answer that. For the last 10 years, she "shit tested" men to see if they were good "leaders" and "protectors" by picking fights with him and seeing if he would both stand up to her abuse (leader) but at the same time still coddle her (protector.) He should "lead" her in such a way that she gets what she wants, but it's only because that's what he wants too.
I think this is some kind of warped fantasy women are indoctrinated with from "romcoms" going back to the 1940's, Bogart and Bacall and such, of "strong women" "standing up" to men who aren't "threatened" by them. It works in the movies, not so much in real life.

Exactly, no crystal ball needed.
If she's been so blind to make it to her 30's without achieving commitment, then I lay the blame squarely on her. Women have to do a few very basic things to keep a man around, and she hasn't.

I've got baby rabies and I haven't been able to trap my ideal imaginary "prince charming". Why hasn't he suddenly appeared to take care of me? I want some imagined fantasy life of marriage and motherhood, and have all my problems and issues magically disappear.
Let me think of the things I'll do for him (because imagining is much easier than doing, and if push comes to shove I won't feel like doing them day after day).

I've seen the crying of a woman who realizes that her decisions - not fate, not the stars, not others - but her own fucking choices are why she is going to die alone and unloved by not only a husband, but by her bastard children.
And it's beautiful, because 10 of 10 times she's a piece of shit.

The men she wants now were most likely already there, she just shunted them into friendzone/orbiter status while Nug Nug was laying pipe. Sorry, puddin', your ship has sailed.

1) this is a real sentiment. Hooray. Another victim of feminism 2) this is a reaction to a reality that she doesn’t have the world’s male population wrapped around her finger. In this case, life is hard, get a helmet.
