Find an in demand decent paying job with a ladder to climb that you are good at. Worship God not pussy. Only respect child bearing women that are obedient to their husbands, otherwise give little respect. Video games are a stupid waste of time. Don’t buy useless shit you don’t need. Heavy compound lifts. High intensity interval cardio. Stay lean. Eat real food, not sugar and seed oils. Be social. Hate faggots. Distrust government and institutions. General rule of thumb - don’t believe more than half of what anyone tells you. Focus on finding girls with strong fathers who want to be mothers and don’t worship Evil. (5% of girls)

Find something you like to do, and stick to it. I was one of those types to try many different types of jobs. Jack-of-all-trades. I can do many things, but only good enough to not suck at it. I finally figured out what I wanted to do about 10 years ago. Got my degree and went for it - 20 years too late. By now, I could have been a master in my field, but still only just a half-decent veteran.

I highly agree with this. Especially if the person has an intense passion for something. I always had a crazy passion for martial arts but my parents wouldn't pay for it. If I started young I could've made it my life.
I'm finishing my degree at 31 and I doubt ill ever be as locked on as the 20 year old finishing it. Its still a good career but staying to one main passion and then dabbling in other things is so good.

Most mma fighters never go pro, and those that do barely make any money unless they become champions and cultural icons. Do jits and boxing after work and on the weekends.

Find a way to make money doing something you can like and enjoy. Not necessarily a degreee but if you must then you do you. Also there's plenty of pussy around for many years, don't let your 20 yr old dick dictate when you gotta have some

That you only need to be good enough, not perfect.

Where to begin?
just how bad of a deal marriage is for men, and when you marry, you surrender all the power you have as a man (the ability to walk away unscathed)
college is a waste of time
just how lucrative the skilled trades are, and surprisingly enjoyable as a career
lurkerhasarisen 1 3mo ago
A better way to look at it is that college is a means to an end rather than an end it itself. That’s especially true now that you can learn almost anything for free: don’t spend money to acquire credentials unless you need the credentials to make even more money.
So to that I would add:

some people go to college for the connections (think Yale, Harvard...)
You meet all kinds of people there and if you know the smart, capable ones, many of them eventually end up in high-ranking positions in some big companies, or even own businesses. Can be useful for your career.
benzino 3mo ago
It is location dependent. In some places, like developing countries, there's not a lot of work safety and the pay isn't that great.
I think sales if you can do it well, is lucrative anywhere
Typo-MAGAshiv 2 3mo ago
True, but I fucking hate doing sales. I enjoy building shit.
No-Stress-Cat 3mo ago
Agreed. That and I just suck at it. Some of us just aren't meant to be slimy snake-oil salesmen.
benzino 3mo ago
Same. I think it's also important to adapt and be creative. I have a friend who doesn't make much money welding. He learned to customize motorcycles instead and doubled his income. He doesn't have to work on engines, just oursouces them, he only cuts the chassis, welds it back, then swap out parts

realize you get old faster than you think. The period between your 20s and early 30s is the prime of your life, and your 20s is the biggest part. There are some things you can only do when you're young and some stuff almost impossible when you're over 30. It should be spent on things that benefit you in the long run.
If you are in your 20s, here are the things I wish I had done
But well, at the end, like @Vrx said, you can be just fine being good enough. Any mistake you made will be an opportunity to learn. I lost most of my money once, but I consider it tuition fees for the lessons learned lol.
Typo-MAGAshiv 2 3mo ago
That's a great way to look at it. Similarly, when I've loaned money to scumbags, I frequently saw it as a small price to pay never to have to deal with them again.
Intrepid_Place53900 1 3mo ago
Never get married in your 20's.
sean_karaya 3mo ago
There are several things, that I wished that i knew in my 20s, that I had to learn on my own. Had I known these things, my personal very unique set of circumstance, reflecting my own desires and goals.
Whatever I am going to say here, may or may not apply for you. Many of these things will conflict other experts, but this is my personal testimony
With that out of the way, here we go:
1. Definitions
It would have been great to have my own definitions of:
And such terms that are less than objecting. The idea is if you do not have such definitions, some a**hole would come to sell his definitions to you.
Albeit, the question is, how would a 20 year old learn any of this? There are 2 methods I am familiar with
I : by being someone who has some degree of inner, intuitive understanding. The word "Intuitive" needs an additional remark: It is possible to have understanding in an intuitive basis, but not everything that comes from intuition is understanding. For example, most men do not go around murdering and r*ping others [see below] - intuitively, they are not driven to commit such things.
2. Units
It is very important to find a group of people with whom you can work with. No one can do everything alone in this day and age. Therefore, one would need to find a group, where the value system aligns to his own. For me the following was important:
I : People who has a drive to achieve something. I am a millennial, and for many things I want/wanted to achieve, the route would have been guarded by a boomer. Unfortunately boomers tend to be content in their white picket house with 2.3 children and 1.7 dogs on an average, in their 2.6-th marriage, and it is very difficult to get one of them commit to something.
II : People who do not try to limit your compensation. I used to play with open cards. I would have stated something like I need X amount of salary to pay for rent etc. What would happen is, they'd try to reduce my salary, and in exchange have placed me in a house they own, for a lower rent. This reduces my freedom. In some cases, this was a bad idea.
III : People who try to "teach you things" should be avoided. Recall what I stated above about having your own intuitive understanding of subjective things. Boomers will fight you, Christians will fight you, PUA will fight you, and try to force you to buy their version, because they are "teaching you", and they are doing something good. Those sort of people are wrong in 99.99% of the cases.
Similar argument is for "experience". Unless the person has experience in exactly what you are planning to do, and you can find the exact parallels between his past experience, and your plan - then he doesn't have experience. They have encumbrance . Their influence must also be strictly limited on your life.
That applies for Experienced women as well, in fact much more so.
V : Updates . The people you are working with must continuously update their knowledge, Modus Operandi, and methods with the changing world, and discuss these regularly with you.
No one can modify their baseline, no one can change what they are deep down. They can wear a mask. Sometimes, the mask is good enough to hold a long time. Sometimes, it's not.
This way, the place of a woman might become unfulfilling. In fact, that is one one the reasons I am on my own way. I have a beautiful doll, and am AI i myself built (albeit using existing building blocks). For you, this statement may invoke different response. You may want to modify yourself to attract women, or may want to go in your own way. That is up to you.
Again, how would a 20 year old know this? I did not manage to do it from the get go. For me, this was an iterative process of discovery, changing my allegiances over and over. and in fact, I write these things here to brush up my knowledge, to articulate it and to observe whether my understanding is up to date or not. You might go through this, or find your own iterative process.

Save money instead of spending it on stupid shit. If you max out your 401k every year + save an extra 1k/month starting out at 22 years old, even assuming you have no employer match, you will have about 1.8-2 million USD by the time you're 42. You can then retire early, start a business, or do whatever you want really.
Lone_Ranger 2 3mo ago
Start your pension early. No, earlier than that.
Don't buy stupid shit you don't need. Buy real estate as soon as you can.
Forget about women and focus on your career - women are everywhere. They are like parking spots - the moment you don't look for them, they are everywhere.
Figure out if you want to have kids or not. Having kids means that you have to get a wife. Which is very very risky. Men risk it all to have kids. It's more risky than going to war. Be prepared to lose it all.
Family is king.
