Met girl for afternoon first date, first location was closed so I took her to a boardgame café where we looked for silly/fun games to play - this worked pretty well except it was hard to get natural kino in, but I felt like attraction was still building. After a few hours I interrupted her asking her to join me at a nice spot I know, she agreed. Went there, all alone, talked a bit before going silent and just looked at her, she asked "what" said smth like "you have pretty eyes" and kept looking, she asked "what" again and I went for the kiss and we made out. Stayed there for few mins then started to head home (3-4 hours in now, so). Grabbed her hand but conversation went back to more casual talk. When we parted ways we kissed again and said byes, told her "see you" and she said "yea"
I left out a lot small details but overall I think I did pretty well, other than maybe not enough push and mostly pull as this comes most natural to me - I smile and laugh a lot. We talked about movies at some point and both talked about a movie that we wanted to watch and I told her I had waited to watch it with someone, so I'm thinking I could invite her over for that as a second date. How long is best to wait before a follow up text, and what to write? Also she paid for our boardgame + drinks, idk if I should text her to split or just leave it?

Same day: "get home safe girl".
Next day: "Hope you're good".
Next day: "Hey, I know this cool bar......."
Get the next date.

Yeah just do it, if you like her.

Sounds all good. Personally, I would not delay to text to say you had a great time, suggest a date for the movie, thank her for paying for the cafe last time and say its your turn to pay next.
You have made out with her, don't leave her hanging. Unless she is a regular slut who makes out with random guys, she will think you just are not that into her, has she made a fool of herself?
To text to split can come over as petty -not a penny more, not a penny less. In the worst case, its the sort of thing a particular nerdy guy who is a pain due to his fastidiousness does. To pass over her paying could make her feel unappreciated and she might come wondering what to do next time. Women do not like mean men even if they deserve to pay their way these days, so offering to pay next time is both fair and positive.
I really think that on average guys make more trouble for themselves than do good by trying to game texting wanting come over as too high value/ busy/ in demand to bother to talk to girls. Just don't be a bitch and text back every time if some girl is texting to yank your chain, don't bombard girls you just kissed with texts like a thirsty loser who finally got a girl. Don't wait to be summoned by and always readily agree to come to a girl who keeps you in her pocket and brings you out when she is bored or hungry. Beyond that just relate to her. Its a relationship. You expect an exchange of normal healthy communication in a relationship.
