Spent the last year eating great and lifting/boxing, used to be a middle distance runner so some newbie gains/muscle and slight definition to my old skinny fat frame.

I've noticed some changes. I'd love to read others' experiences of getting in shape, going fat to fit etc.

Some observations

People are friendlier in general and assume you are more competent.

Women touch so much more when you well fitted clothing on an athletic body. Most men respect you too or ask your opinion.

Found some artistic types (play guitar so know some amateur, local musicians artists) the more pretentious ones seem to think You're just a meathead, one even said boxing training is offensive to humans or something ridiculous!

I'm neurodiverse, so at times struggled with boring mundane conversations or my humor hitting it off etc, people are much more subservient, flirty and just nice, good to be around.

If you're struggling not making gains etc, just keep grinding. First few months all I noticed was my bicep getting slightly bigger, but nothing crazy, even about 5 months in I was depressed I still had moobs, yet kept going, trying new things like calisthenics, farmers walks, bricklaying/garden work as well.

Lift something though at least twice a week. Some of us with slow genetics, this takes longer than others. The mental clarity alone, it's like a natural depression cure for weak men.
