Long story short I started working out 24, I'm extremely skinny, (121 lbs at 5'8 after lifting and eating in a calorie surplus for 3 months). I've realized that natural progress is much slower than I'd realized. I never lifted before in my life and so at 24 I basically have the physique of an inactive 15 year old. It would take years for me to even begin to look my age. I just want to look good while I'm still in my 20s. First I considered TRT but my T levels are normal so I think what I actually need is a cycle.

Don't mess with your hormones. It's a complicated system of all sorts of interactions that science is far from having a full understanding of. Also, you don't want to end up inhibiting your body's natural production, and then having to supplement artificially just to stay within normal range.
3 months is a very short time lifting.
How do you know you're actually in a surplus?
How much have you gained since you started 3 months ago?
Which lifting program are you following?
What's your idea of "looking good"? Or alternatively; What do you think you need to get laid?
leo26 2mo ago
I need to be muscular to get laid because I'm fairly ugly I know I'm in a surplus because I've gained 14 lbs in the past 3 months
Durek_The_Bald 2mo ago
What program?
AbusiveFather1 2mo ago
You know most of this is fat, right?
leo26 2mo ago
Yes lmao that's why I'm considering steroids
Musicgoon78 2 2mo ago
Wrong. Your attitude and frame absolutely suck. Muscles won't get you laid. They help a bit but personality and game are key.
Don't believe me, take some roids and fuck up your CNS and endocrine system. When your balls shrink, you lose your hair, you get zits all over and are infertile an impotent man growing tits, then you can tell me how much pussy you're getting. While you also shove needles in your ass for the rest of your life.
Sounds like a great way to get laid. What's the downside?
leo26 2mo ago
I didn't say being muscular would get me laid. I said I need to be muscular to have a chance. It's a necessary condition although obviously not a sufficient one
NeoSpartan 2mo ago
No you don't. Muscles are an enhancer, 20% of it. What gets you laid is getting out there and talking to girls.
If you don't know how to talk to girls, muscles will not help you much.
Go hit on some 5s and get your exp up. Talking is how you do it. Shooting your shot, even chads fail most of time. Women are a numbers game most of all. Especially when you are new.
MrSupreme 2mo ago
Im not against steroids but think well about your fitness goal, because cycling may give you a look that is too close to a bodybuilder instead of a more ripped, athletic look.
Im no expert though, just check out the effort needed (you still have to lift hard) and the possible results and make sure that it is what you want for your body
Vermillion-Rx Admin 2mo ago
No one should do steroids. Stop being a bitch and face the discipline of working out like normal
Whatsnext 2mo ago
I am natural. Thinking about your question, If I were in your shoes I would spend 2 years at least lifting consistently and dieting properly while tracking your calories and protein. You are gaining far too fast and its going to be mostly fat. 1-2lbs/mo is fine when you first start. Aim to eat 300 over maintenance. Idk what you are aiming for now but its too much. After two years you could have 15ish pounds of muscle and then consider your next step. I wont hop on trt until I need to and I dont think steroid are worth it but its a personal choice.
redhawkes 2 2mo ago
No shit life is not an instagram reel bruh. You have to be really retarded to get on juice with only 3 months of probably fuckarounditis.
Eat shit load of calories, get a mass gainer if necessary and lift like your life depends on it. Muscles won't cure your social retardation and lack of game, it's a catalyst.
financehardo420 Should i (x1) 2mo ago
Bro is prolly hitting 3 sets of 10 reps with mild discomfort and then wondering why he’s not making any progress
redhawkes 2 2mo ago
I bet the only thing he lifts is the toilet lid lmaoo
Wintergreen 2mo ago
I also lift the top thing on the toilet because the floaty thing doesn’t always go up enough so sometimes it just makes noise for fucking ever. I swear it’s so annoying.
Vermillion-Rx Admin 2mo ago
How many calories are you eating a day. Have you actually weighed or measured out stuff to see if your eyes match what you think you're consuming
leo26 2mo ago
I've gained 14 lbs in 3 months, I should have specified that
Vermillion-Rx Admin 2mo ago
That's not slow. Stop trying to cheat
leo26 2mo ago
Almost all of it was fat.
Also, lol. why is it "cheating" ? Are people who were born better looking and with better body genetics "cheating" ? Should people with poor genetics just suck it up and accept that they'll always be inferior? I just don't understand this logic
Typo-MAGAshiv 2 2mo ago
A) stop that.
B) not inferior. Just different.
Vermillion-Rx Admin 2mo ago
Bro fr
For real?
You need someone on the internet to explain the problem with steroids??
leo26 2mo ago
I'm not saying therr aren't problems with steroids, I just have an issue with the way you're framing it. You call it "cheating" as if TRP isn't the very realization that life isn't fair and that this is a rigged game
Vermillion-Rx Admin 2mo ago
Dude you are coping AF right now trying to sound smart
leo26 2mo ago
Lmao, what exactly am I coping about?
Vermillion-Rx Admin 2mo ago
Taking the random genetic lottery, sexual dynamics, and interactions with women and conflating it with using an artificial hormone
It's fucking retarded and someone needs to tell you that
leo26 2mo ago
My point is it's not cheating anymore than winning the genetic lottery. There's nothing immoral about it
Vermillion-Rx Admin 2mo ago
Bro you twisting my words and not understanding jack here about RP. I'm not helping you any more
leo26 2mo ago
How am I twisting your words you literally said "cheating"
Vermillion-Rx Admin 2mo ago
You're on your own man
leo26 2mo ago
Ok, you don't sound like you know what you're talking about anyway
Vermillion-Rx Admin 2mo ago
This is why I'm not helping you.
There nerve of some of you say this to the admin.
Good luck, you'll need it where you're at
I knew exactly what you were talking about and it's apples and oranges to thr original point i made. You are obvious to how apples and oranges your comparison is and blaming me for your poor understanding of the issue
First-light 2mo ago
The usual advice is to push your natural gains before enhancing.
I am in my 50's, thinking about it now, never taken a single pin. You are very young to mess with your fertility like that. As a man who started life as a nerd and became a hands on guy, I can tell you it takes years to switch your body on physically. If you enhance now, you will lose your best gains. You won't know what to really do with the benefit of those early cycles -when you body is most responsive.
If you are going to do it take 250 to 500 ius of HCG EOD while on cycle and a lot more -like 3000 ius and clomid 25mg when you come off cycle. This will keep your balls. Then actually rest. If you blast and cruise, you could end up with broken balls by 30 and then you have a big body and are biologically less of a man than a pencil necked geek, which is almost pointless.
Typo-MAGAshiv 2 2mo ago
Steroids are fucking stupid. Stop being impatient with the process; just reevaluate and reorient based on your progress and research.
If you try to take the steroid shortcut you'll disrupt the shit out of your endocrine system, and your body will stop producing as much natural testosterone, which will cause your balls to shrink among many other side effects (acne, increased risk of cancer, bitchy mood swings, etc). You'll also be working your kidneys too hard and risk their failing on you
You need to be patient. This is a long-term pursuit.
Additionally, the good news about being naturally skinny is that you can get that shredded look very easily, including the much-sought-after 6-pack. You need to embrace your body's natural capabilities and run with them.
Me, I'm built like a cross between Shrek in human form and Wreck-It Ralph. I get large and strong easily, but I also get fat easily. I've only had a 6-pack a few times in my life, and the amount of work and discipline didn't seem worth it to me (hence my fondness for saying "I'd rather drink a 6-pack than have a 6-pack").
If you're naturally skinny, don't try to get huge like me. Try to get lean and shredded, which you still achieve by lifting and proper diet.
I've written about this before many times on the trp.red side of the site, about how it's important to have muscles and not be soft, but that you don't necessarily need to be huge, or shredded, or any one particular build; it's just important not to be soft. Links:

Please take a whole stack of steroids so that you inevitably destroy your body forever and I have one less 20 year old guy to compete with for these 20 year old girls

mattyanon Admin 2mo ago
Work out what your underlying health issue is and fix that first.
leo26 2mo ago
What makes you think I have an underlying health issue?
NeoSpartan 2mo ago
Rome wasn't built in a day.
Stop being a pussy and put in the time.
Steroids will shrink your balls and you likely won't make it past age 50.
Have some patience and be a man.
Steroids are a devil's bargain. You will mess yourself up in 10 years for a short term boost.
Not worth it brother. Nothing worth doing is easy. Be a man, be consistent, do your best, and you will get results.
Shortcuts almost always come at a great cost.
Don't fuck up your body, you only get one.
leo26 2mo ago
But there are tons of steroid users in their 60s and even 70s. There are smart ways to use them, no?
NeoSpartan 2mo ago
Ehhh.. smarter maybe... but none are great. Always going to damage your liver and heart and pulmonary system.
Much better to focus on form, macros, intensity etc. Optimize naturally.
Plus, you gotta keep taking that stuff forever basically. Natural built muscle you bank, stays with you for a long time. Steroid muscle shrinks up basically as soon as you go off cycle. Like a balloon.
Also, exceptions don't really matter. I could cite Zyzz as a counter example. Bro was 23. Average is like 50 tho. Still not good. Much better to put in the work natural and have some patience I think. You keep it consistent for a few years, you will mog 90% of people, trust.
financehardo420 Should i (x1) 2mo ago
Depends what you’re using bro test doesn’t inherently damage your liver. Boozing on anavar will fuck your shit though
NeoSpartan 2mo ago
I don't think getting huge helps you all that much. Not worth the risk imo.
Twice a week consistent natty will get you in the 10% easy. Also, good for energy, contentment levels etc.
Healthy body, healthy life, healthy mind etc.
financehardo420 Should i (x1) 2mo ago
I’ll say like pretty much my whole life I used to wake up 5am no problem. After my surgery and like a super slow recovery process I would struggle to wake up at 11am even if I went to bed @ 9. Started test and now I can go to bed at 11 and wake up at 4am (if I need to). Energy is through the fkin roof. That being said I was natty most of my life and had solid gains before I ever hopped on
Typo-MAGAshiv 2 2mo ago
That's like saying "I know a guy who has driven drunk daily for 15 years and hasn't had a wreck". Great, so one or two people are defying the odds so far.
It's still a terrible idea, and only a matter of time before those people's poor choices catch up to them (if they haven't already).
financehardo420 Should i (x1) 2mo ago
Idk to be the devil’s advocate there are a plenty of gear users that are 1000x healthier than natty normies. But there’s no point in starting if you’re not already dialed in; once you start you literally have to be dialed in pretty much 24/7 or you fuck it all up
NeoSpartan 2mo ago
Most normies are slovenly potatoes who can't lift a milk jug and walk maybe 200 steps per day, mostly from couch to hot pocket microwave.
Comparing apples to dogshit here. 70% of gym memberships get used 4 times a year. Mostly after new years or 2 weeks before summer.
Takes at least a month to get past the hump of getting used to it when you start. Once you do, it's well worth it and you start looking forward to your workouts, but most normies give up well before they get past that initial adaptation phase.
There's stats on this. Something like 40% of people pay for a gym membership but only 20% use it more than a few times a year. Also there's the 5% effort bike people that imagine they can absorb fitness by being in the area of it while watching tv and moving slightly. Good on those tho, I would probably have to pay a lot more than 30 a month if they weren't retarded. Shine on sweet retard pay piggies, shine on.
Typo-MAGAshiv 2 2mo ago
Bullshit, unless by "normies" you mean fat couch potatoes who don't exercise at all.
financehardo420 Should i (x1) 2mo ago
Not necessarily just like I know some dudes that take gear and like don’t drink at all, eat clean religiously, work out religiously etc etc.
When I’m sayin normies I don’t strictly refer to couch potatoes but just like regular avg dudes that do work out but don’t eat clean, drink a lot, take drugs regularly etc etc
financehardo420 Should i (x1) 2mo ago
Bruh what the actual fuck.
You’re still in newbie stage meaning you have plenty of room to get there.
Lift hard and train to failure. This doesn’t mean grab a dumbell and curl it for ten reps and do it again until you’re kind of sore. This means a weight where by the end of your set you are physically shaking.
I’m on test right now; I started bc I had a shoulder surgery that didn’t recover well. It’s a bitch and often I wish I never did - say goodbye to eating normal people food. If I eat normie food (or simply too many carbs) and or don’t drink an entire fricken gallon of water daily I’m cooked - if I slack off for more than like maybe a single day I will gain 10lb in water overnight. All the parts that would get hard suddenly go soft. My left nut has shrunk and I’m infertile till either I come off or add in hcg. There’s even a chance I’ll never be fertile again.
I have to stick a fuckin needle in my quads like 3 times a week; shit sucks ass.
SeasonedRP 1 2mo ago
HGH would help an injury more than test. Or one of the peptides. I hear good things about BPC-157. And if you are younger, which I assume you are, HCG is a good idea when using test.
financehardo420 Should i (x1) 2mo ago
I’m 28; I did do bpc157/tb500 but I didn’t know about it till like well over 6 months after the surgery so probably didn’t help me as much as it could have. Rn I’m using non prescription test; thinking pretty soon I’ll get an actual script and add in hcg to try and get my actual fertility back cause I’m assuming it’s fried now. To be fair though I’m not running a crazy dose; I was doing 225 and just bumped up to 300mg for the rest of my cut. Then tapering back down to 225mg split in three doses I think i should be alright
SeasonedRP 1 2mo ago
HCG should kick things back in gear.
financehardo420 Should i (x1) 2mo ago
Encouraging to hear haha my dad had me freaking out for a sec. But then also think of just how many pro bodybuilders that took fuuuuucktons of gear still had kids. Def gonna get an actual script once I run out of this batch and add hcg
SeasonedRP 1 2mo ago
Doing a cycle is a waste if you are just starting out. Do high rep squats (20+ reps)with as much weight as you can handle with good form. You should feel like you are going to vomit when you finish a set. After warmups, do 1-2 sets of these. You'll be starving later. They stimulate muscle growth in newbies like nothing else.
Wintergreen 2mo ago
I disagree with pushing till throwing up, or close to that point, as a noob.
When you’re a newbie you need to get used to do following a program and being consistent. You can squat 135 8 times and still be too sore the next day to get off the toilet. Acting like David Goggins while still being a noob is a sure fire way to end up saying “this shit’s not for me, I quit”.
It’s only once you’ve made some progress and hit some milestones that you really feel like pushing yourself is worth it.
