I think the general consensus here is to give gifts that you can use together like lingerie. I think a bottle of wine is a perfect gift. Not too needy and something you can both enjoy together leading to sex. If you're not going to drink then maybe some good weed you can both smoke is a better idea.

A Christmas present is not simping, its normal behaviour. I give Christmas presents to men and I am not a queer. If you are close to her (and yeah shooting your load up her makes you close to her in at least one way) then you should give her something.

A bottle of wine is fine (find out what she likes first if you can) but really its not much of a present as its gone the morning after. I would consider even buying her something else as well that will last a little longer and that she will like using and remember you when she does -smart winter gloves/ scarf/ pretty underwear or nightdress (if she likes that sort of thing). It doesn't have to be expensive just not the cheapest crappiest stuff out there. A bottle of wine is really just part of entertainment unless she is a wine buff (snob) and you are buying something over priced and special.

Is one bottle enough? I am a virtual teetotaller and won't even drink half a bottle of wine to please a wine buff friend but there are some who can easily put 2 away in a night -even women (unattractive as it is), You might want to have a second one in the cupboard to bring out if she says "But we have only got started".
