So I usually don’t go to clubs except the occasional party from my uni faculty, but that‘s different because of the good gender ratio and very good social proof I have with the girls there.
I‘m just clueless about how I’m supposed to make a move on women in the club where there’s not much space to talk. I‘m good at dancing on my own and that’s what I usually do, on my own or with friends.
Today I was in a regular club again for the first time in a while. At some point I spotted a hottie dancing on her own with a drink and decided to try an approach so I walked up and said "are you into bad pickup lines“. She replied Im into being left alone. Funny response would have been "hey me too, let’s make a self help group" but I didn’t say anything and just went back to dancing. For the rest of the night she kept dancing on her own, rejecting several guys but also kept getting close to me or right in front of me and sometimes glancing or brushing her arm into me (I’m more goodlooking than 98% of guys so women often single me out like this for no reason). Did I fail a shittest?. After this I figured "fuck it" and just danced on my own/with friends ignoring the women (I can get laid whenever I want with my existing plates anyway)
I tried observing other guys but they would either not try anything at all, or make a move politely and get politely rejected. There was one guy who kinda came out of nowhere and I saw him doing a wild dance with another hottie that‘d been there for over an hour with her friends, literally a minute later they were kissing. No clue how the fuck he approached her but I want to learn how to do that.
Any tips for a 22yo student on how to have club game? Seems like an good way to get pussy very easily if you have just a little practice

Club game is all about looks and having fun. Preselection and social proof helps a lot tho.
Many hoes are there just for attention and free drinks. They cock-tease afc's leaving them with blue balls. You fucked up by only focusing on one chick. Her reply was probably a shit test, but you did good, classic push/pull.

Okay here is the thing about clubs. Hot women dress like prostitutes and slap 2 SMV points worth of makeup on because they are hoping Chad approaches them for a steamy after party encounter at his place.

Your line and approach had nothing to do with it. She already decided her outfit and choice of venue was ChadBait™ and that she'll reject every man who isn't in her desired SMV range for an easy romp in the sheets.

The other guy likely approached with the right vibe and that chick was also a slut. You have to have the same emotional energy as women in a club or enhance the emotions they're already having. For example if a woman is in a shit mood and you neg her you're better off than trying to change her shit mood at a club
Club women want Chad and they want men to have the same energy and emotional wavelength they have at the club. You need to be a vibe enhancer for whatever vibe they currently have, or be capable of changing their vibe into an upgrade from the vibe they already have.
Clubs are hard mode unless you know how to vibe and pass shit tests fast, then they become easy mode because every other simp and his pet monkey are running ineffective day game type bummer/needy game

I go to swing dance places, so the hobby and skill aspect makes it different but very similar to regular nightclub dynamics. I've still needed night game at them with over half of women. So your mileage might vary at run of the mill clubs.
At the minimum you should be "hot" and if not be the life of the party.
Even at my hobby spot though, I've seen women still prioritize "hot" chads over guys who are good at swing dance. Just the other week three of my most enthusiastic follows asked me if a certain Chad, 6'5" jacked could dance (i was really annoyed because that was my ex FWBs new boyfriend she dragged into the club scene) and when I said "no" and "he has a girlfriend anyway " they openly all exclaimed "FUCK!" and got angry. I started walking away and heard them say "dammit he's hot as hell"
I stopped talking to them as much after that because even though I'm the best there it was a reminder that club women still have blackpill preferences no matter what other qualifications the venue values (good dance)
Take it with a grain of salt but that's the club scene.

to piggyback off your story: there's a guy at my usual dancing venue that has god-tier dancing skills but he's hindered by his very much subpar looks, and as a result he basically plays the role of a dancing pole for these women to show themselves off - riding on the coattails of his master-class performance, they advertise themselves to men that are good looking but have horrible dancing skills. kind of soul crushing to witness this

Med school in Germany is set up a little differently in Germany, 6 years instead of 4 with only the first 2 years being really tough. Also With extracurriculars I‘m still very busy but currently on Christmas break
