Funny, I came across this book back in the day when I was contemplating writing a book about my crazy life. I don't think promoting it will help it sell. Rebranding might work. I had to learn that the hard way. Did you write that book?
Yeah I got a chance to talk to Rollo on Mike Sartain's podcast about being an author and getting a book to take off. Got some really useful tips. I'm going through some pirated videos of Tate's Hustler University and learning a lot about sales too. @Land_of_the_Losers could learn a lot from these guys and get way more sales.
OK, Rollo was talking about identifying a need, or pain point for people. In the case of my book "The Social Autist" I already had that covered: autistic people have difficulty socially. Why do people need to buy your book? What problem does it solve? Is it that I'm a loser and it will solve my problem of being a loser? Then you sell to that... "Ypu need this book because you're tired of being a loser...". Or maybe it's a great story, or something like that.
Tate goes even further by throwing in FOMO and future directed language. "Are you tired of being a loser? Well then you need this book. You won't be a loser after you know what's in it. Your life will improve... yada yada".
Here's a sales pitch I had claude.ai generate for my game using Tate's advice:

Pre-order today and thank yourself later for purchasing something that truly delivers thrills, not just empty calories. The apocalypse is now—fight for your life or get left behind!"
Next Rollo talked about finding your target audience. Then him and Mike went on about how you go on podcasts to promote your book as an "expert" in that specific content. My guess would be your audience is guys that follow passport bro channels, filipina pea, etc.
Finally, he said to make sure your book is 100% finished and ready to launch, including ebooks and audiobooks.
It hasn't really changed other than the technology. Basically today you are creating a brand out of yourself and using social media as a marketing funnel. You're selling this amazing(fake) lifestyle to women online. It's all instagram gossip machine fake social proof and preselection. I highly recommend watching the fresh and fit review of the Tinder Swindler. https://youtu.be/uvUSZgTKbp8 There are also many videos about how to do instagram right but Mike Sartain's free men of action forum is the most direct path. They have examples of good instagram profiles. They have you go follow 1000 hot chicks(and then some follow you back, providing preselection to other women). Then you go follow 100 guys you want to be(and some follow you back providing social proof).

The dating market is pretty different than how it was pre-Tinder and pre-pandemic.
