I read that if you go over certain amount of protein you will fuck your kidneys, and one shouldn't go over factor 1.2g proteins. That would mean extremely high fat content, is not crossing ratio of 1.2g doable?
How about fibres and calories intake, do you count them separately: fat, protein, carb, fibres?
Do you take bicarbonate / potassium / amino acids supplements to alleviate possible acidosis / pH balance nad muscle loss?

Did carnivore for 7 months, did not die, quite the opposite.
The premise of carnivore is that your body becomes very efficient in processing meat when eaten exclusively.
That adaptation is not covered in any conventional nutritional science. All conventional nutritional science is based on the "standard american diet" or another localized idealized diet.
Standardizing diet is stupid. Humans are amazing omnivores. Standardizing processed industrial ingredients and fruit that was inbred to shit to have 1000x the sugar our ancestors would have had access to and calling it "healthy" is stupid. Going for a radical diet to lose weight and have a shortcut to a healthier lifestyle, is stupid.
All metabolisms are different, this is JUST MY EXPERIENCE as a eastern european caveman.
That being said - I was prediabetic, on the diet I felt amazing, one cheat meal would wreck my digestive system
I had hypertension - on the diet I felt amazing, despite the huge volumes of sodium I was ingesting. Now off it, I again have hypertension.
I was never regular, after a week on carnivore my shit was premium grade, perfect texture and movement. It was a fucking miracle.
Erections seem to need glucose, both on keto and carnivore I would never get to 100% prime.
Workouts are less efficient(harder to max out) but endurance goes through the roof.
Your stomach acid will be better but also worst. When you eat only meat it's like the perfect acidity, and comes in regular, no acid reflux, no indigestion.
Eat any side dish of carbs or fiber - and expect the worse nights of your life. Gastritis, gluten intolerance symptoms, and so much gas you feel you're bowels will burst.
Honestly - I am 100% convinced my body is made to only process meat. Keto was ok, but I carnivore is the "natural" option for me. However - I love going out to eat socially. And the side effects of going off the diet are so horrible I genuinely feel like I put my life in danger when I eat a normal meal. It's just not socially sustainable for me.

Just throw in cheat days. After about 2 weeks of keto plus intermittent fasting I start wasting too fast and have a cheat day where I load up on carbs. Like a big mac meal or pizza. I think this is how we humans evolved. We would go long periods of time without much food while hunting and then have a brief abundance. Most days I'm down to 1 meal a day which is just a big ass steak and some veggies.
The only problem I'm having now is my stomach has shrunk so I can't eat much. I do get lots of calories from wine towards the end of the day which is kinda like eating a desert.

Probably 1.2g per kg? And if you're healthy you can go over this. And it depends how much you actually use and burn. And how good your kidneys are. It's not a hard limit for most people.
Why? Protein and fat are not always together.
Yes, obviously.
For me:

I think that is a myth or applies to people with kidney problems, though I haven't researched it recently (I remember reading something to that effect). I've been around lifters for decades who take in a lot of protein, for long periods of time, and have never known anyone who has had problems.

Afaik there is no issue for your kidneys anywhere close to 1.2g/lb.
1g protein per lb bodyweight is good. Try to stick to that. Going higher is no problem but there is no reason to. Lower is gonna lead to less muscle gain/retention.
