I am not gonna call it a masculine thing, it may fit into survival but basic cooking skills,cleaning,keeping the home clean,tidying up the bedroom and keeping the living space tidy is such a good thing to do as a man It is certainly empowering to be able to do those things by oneself, it builds discipline too,the military all around the world do it.
