PSA: The moment a woman breathes even one word about past relationships being abusive on her hookup app profile, much less a dating profile, that is your sign to avoid her like she's HAZMAT. Why? Well for starters as pointed out here by /u/V_M :
This is a common manipulative behavior in women called Damseling. They will exaggerate (or outright manufacture it) any possible claim to victimhood that they can in order to bait the unaware men into White Knighting in order to prove that He's Different and Not Like Those Other Guys.
An actual decent woman will not require that you fall upon your sword to save her from her self inflicted disasters.
Single moms occupy that status for a reason. Even if you don't have much in the way of self respect, at least have a sense of self preservation.

There's a case similar to this, google "Holly Collins". Here's her story (as SHE tells it). Remember, this is from HER point of view. It might make an interesting post on WATGMA:
She wants to get divorced from 1st husband (you can see where this goes with "1st") and she's working in a legal aid office and claims he's a spouse/child abuser. 1st husband fights back and the courts find that she's the abuser and (multiple) social workers agree with the father. She claims the system is biased against women.
Husband/(boyfriend? 2). Around this time, I think she also claimed her parents had abused her during childhood as well since they sided with her ex-husband. She claims husband number 2 was also abusive and accuses him as such to try to get custody. The courts and multiple social workers, in a vast conspiracy against women, sided with him as well so she kidnapped the children from BOTH husbands and ran off.
to Amsterdam? where she says she was a victim of DV from two different men and asked for asylum and got it granted. She then, with a brood of 3? kids, finds ANOTHER guy and has a child with him AND adopts other kids and goes on welfare. She hasn't worked a day since the legal office where she learned to file abuse claims, living off the state, as an abused mother and child-victim with 7 kids exclusively under her care. The system works!
One of the neighbors she annoyed with her Manson family antics reported her to the press and she was outed. All the children are alienated against their birth fathers AND step-siblings they despise as well. Holly made a career of being a DV victim of a biased court system against women and even got a documentary by a pro-feminist media that says NOBODY cares about women to tell her story. She divorced/broke up with the 3rd guy and took his kid and that guy went along with it (perhaps he was a bit smarter and knew he wouldn't win.)
The daughters and sons have taken up the mantle of the mother to demonize their step siblings and fathers as abusers as their life mission (they did try to get money from them though.)
This is a cautionary tale of why it's a good idea to avoid damsels who are always in distress.

Indeed. A woman perpetually in that state is either lying her ass off or has horrendous judgement. Neither are good qualities in any sort of partner - not even "for recreational use only" ones. Overlooking that is how a man gets Mattress Girl'd.

What I think is "Manson family" about the story is that even if she was telling the truth, and she had been a victim of serial abusers up to running off to Amsterdam, why would she pick up another 4 kids if she was struggling with such PTSD? Shouldn't she have focused on the 3 kids she had already she was supposedly "protecting?" It seems like she was collecting kids like Pokemon cards.
There are so many red flags there I'm amazed that the Danes didn't spot it particularly with her adopting MORE kids. Sheesh, the Ukrainians denied Elton John permission to adopt an HIV positive kid from an orphanage and yet the Danes let this woman have more kids?

This one is almost like they have run through a checklist of red flags. There isn’t much that could make it worse using the same set of circumstances - apart from two different fathers (which clearly isn’t the case) and also evidence that the children are mixed (not for racist reasons but more because there would be no way of even trying to make it look like they were yours if you weren’t of the same race as the father)

It's interesting how they use the same terms/red-flag expressions not realizing what message this sends to potential suitors but then again, maybe they do.
