She went back into the dating market thinking that her value as a post-wall woman was equivalent to her value when she left the dating market in her 20s.
It's a sad reality for a lot of divorced women. They hit the market with fury, get plowed by a bunch of men who - for some reason - never want a 2nd date, and realize "oh fuck, i had a golden ticket and I wiped my ass with it". Then they try to go back because, let's face it, women hate having to work for a living like a man does.

This is something that is rarely addressed is the loss of control. She must feel so helpless and powerless in this situation. To have absolutely no say so in the outcome and what's worse is that her sex and the promise of sex or the outright throwing her body at the betrayed husband doesn't work. It must gall her that she has no power over the situation she created.

I’ve always argued that point two on your list is when women become the “Karens” that we all interact with in day to day life. Some people blame menopause, but to use a phrase that I absolutely abhor; they’ve lost the privilege that they used to have over men and other women. Instead of evolving like men would, they throw tantrums every chance they get now that the playing field has been leveled.
I find it so condescending when women talk about the patriarchy. Women are born with inherent value that men are not. We have to earn your attention.

I'd like to use the above example to do a bit of thread hijacking.
It's a prime example of why women should pursue men with good saving/investment habits and not solely the ones who are high earners. First, a high income and a high savings rate may not be mutually exclusive, but they are not inherently tied. In fact, 51% of six-figure earners in the US are living paycheck to paycheck. If you can't save money earning $100k+ even in a HCOL area, you have bad habits. I gross $135k annually, and I'm able to live comfortably whilst maxing out my 401k, maxing out my Roth IRA, and contributing towards a standard taxable brokerage account. Last year my expenses were $26k, and I lived well (caveat: my house is paid for). When women say they want men who earn six figures they're really saying they want men who spend six figures. Men who spend that kind of money are either multi-millionaires (and thus rare), or they earn six figures and spend most (if not all) of their money. The latter have little to no retirement savings, and they may have credit card debt too.
Second, since I mentioned millionaires, women need to understand some statistics surrounding them. There are 22M of them in the US, and two thirds are age 60+. 23% are age 50-59, so that means only 10% of American millionaires are 49 or younger. Statistically, two thirds of millionaires are men, and 75% are already married. Moreover, the vast majority (80%) of millionaires achieved a seven-figure net worth via retirement plan investing (i.e. 401k, Roth IRA, etc). The top five professions of people who attained millionaire status are engineers, accountants, managers, teachers, and attorneys. Only 15% of millionaires have served in a senior executive position such as CEO, CFO, VP, etc. Those top five professions speak volumes, because they indicate that millionaires are mostly comprised of every day people who worked normal jobs and may not necessarily have earned super high incomes. What they held in common is that they invested as much of their money as they could and minimized expenses. Naturally, that means they weren't pissing away cash on a bunch of trips, fancy dinners, or expensive cars. They delayed gratification so that they could live large in retirement. Consequently, this is how average women can secure wealthy men. Instead of waiting at the finish line for the winners (who won't pick them), they should get with average men who have good financial habits. In doing so they can secure their futures.
The most important lesson women can learn is to not automatically assume a man is cheap when he lives frugally. He may be planning for a solid future where he and his future wife don't have to ever worry about finances. How will you know? Just ask him.

No, the most important lesson a woman can learn is to be frugal herself, trusting her husband's leadership in all things related to money, and valuing his contribution as provider so much that she runs all purchases by him first.
This is my wife, so I know it can be done. I make under the poverty level, and have for over 20 years, and we are both thankful and have spare money to invest as well.
