My friends realise that if they are a total car crash leech without having a single interesting thought or anything at all to contribute, then they aren't really the kind of friend that anyone would be interested in having.

Women generally have life on easy mode for the first 20 to 30 years, and then when "winter" sets in, as you've aptly stated, the whole thing flips on its head. No longer can they rely on just finessing the social web they've built to get free shit and favors. They might actually gasp have to do shit on their own, using their skills (which are usually not developed) and what they've learned.
I think this is why they flip out, go a bit nuts (even more than usual) because they didn't have the foresight to prepare for this. Ignored it all along until the season changed and they don't have anything stored up for the winter of the rest of their lives.

It was either you or somebody that made a brilliant reply on women and timetables on the metrics of their life. What is blowing up in their faces (haha a pun) and making them crazy is when things dont go according to plan because they dont factor in a margin of error or cushion in their plans. For instance, they plan out exactly when they will stop riding the CC (at 26!) get married (at 28!) and have their first kid by 30, of course while having a degree, a wildly successful career and married to a decent guy that has a power job. When that timetable doesnt go the way they planned and they are now 30+ in age and the cake with sprinkles isnt there, we are seeing the results. They really are going nuts.
I use to say on here that WAATGM was not an accurate sample of women. That we underestimate women and most are smart enough to know when to jump off the CC, properly sterilize their past, not stupid enough to run her mouth or have friends that will snitch her. That they will do the AF in their 20s and settle with the BB before the wall. I now revise that line of thought because of that post I read. Most women DO NOT factor in a margin of error called real life and dont know how to react when they hit those age milestones and are still single and looking. Real life does not follow timetables you set. The 30 and post 30 freakout is very real. There are too many women both I have seen IRL and online that can not believe they are still single and looking and have no man lined up by 30.

You seem to make the mistake of assuming far too much logic and rationality to women, probably because you yourself are logical and reasonable.
The women that I know either do not know about the wall or refuse to accept it. They do not believe the wall is real. Some think that the wall is age 50. I have simply NEVER met a woman that accepts that there is a wall at age 27, and that it is caused by the fact of women 24 and under being a better offer than they are.
And here's the thing. YOU CANNOT FIGHT AN ENEMY YOU DO NOT BELIEVE EXISTS. Can't be done.

Absolutely 100% true. I have been overestimating women. I do admit I have giving them too much credit. In the military, a fatal mistake is underestimating your enemy. It doesn't go even as far a applying Vulcan logic. I use common sense and think "that is a really bad idea" and assume they would see that too.
An example to prove your point was when I first started reading TRP. There was a post of a single mother trash loser that hit it out of the ballpark and found a rich beta. She then goes and cheats on him with her former weed dealer. Of course she gets dumped and she is now a broke single mother one step away from starvation. I was completely baffled by her behavior. It was one of my first post on that site. I said that if that was me, there is no way I would kill the goose that laid the golden egg. There is just no way I would fuck up my meal ticket. That is applying logic and common sense. I am now realizing it is not just some but most women that dont plan ahead. Dont think of if this goes bad. Most importantly, dont believe the wall is real or they will cash out at the end of the CC ride.

I don't subscribe to the idea that 'all women are crazy' or even 'all women are dumn'. Those are gross simplifications that just don't do us any good.
However, it would be remiss of us not to look around and just analyse how women they think. And the one thing that pops off the page for me, is this: women just don't seem to understand stats and quantitative methods. In particular, they do not understand probability, which can be view as a branch of stats. Of if I were to be really precise (I am a man after all...so I should be!) they might understand it (the ones that are educated) but they don't believe in it. Those are two very different things.
Most women understand the concept of a mathamatical concept such as 'mean average' ....but they simply do not believe in it. They know how to calculate the mean, but they simply do not believe that it reflects reality.
A good example of this is if you tell them the average income of a male in the US is X . They sort of go, yeah...in theory, but in reality....its much higher. Because my sister went out with this guy blah blah, when I was in college most men that I met were blah blah blah.
They just can't and won't accept that there is more to the world than their experiences and what they want to be true. So if you tell them that women over 45 are more likely to die in a car crash than get married, they'll say 'but my cousin was 47 and she met this great guy blah blah and J-Lo got married to a younger guy who was rich and tall blah blah.
they simply cannot and will not engage with the reality of probability.
