Basically. If you do the math, 18% of bachelors degrees are in STEM fields, or to be exact, 331,000 of 1.8m. 36% of those were earned by women, while women earned 58% of total degrees. So women earned around 119,000 STEM degrees versus about 1 million overall that they earned. So that’s 12% of female college students earning a degree in STEM. Add in some other things that are useful but not STEM, like accounting or preparing for law school, maybe we can say 20% of college graduate women are labor force ready?
And then 46% of women aged 25-34 have a bachelors degree. And since women suck at blue collar work, you can safely assume that almost no women without one have real career prospects.
So with some fuzzy math, that might mean that 1 in 10 women can actually pursue a professional path that can support themselves? And of those, how many actually want to do it? Many women hit 30, feel tired from their day to day grind, realize that they still have 30+ years of it to go, and it occurs to them that their fantasy of power-pose professional photos and keeping up with the Joneses isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

What made things worse is companies giving out all those free "perks" like food/activities/etc to these little petty princesses. Now that the economy is tilting, they can't afford to do that and all of these "wanna work from home because it was so sweet during the virus freakout" and only hit the office one to three days a week are losing their shit.
Yes princess, you have to come in. Sorry, no more free shit. Bag your lunch like the rest of the scrublords or figure it out. Men have for decades.

Ultimately, the path back to something resembling balance for men without resorting to open warfare or complete social collapse is simply just going to be men quiet quitting and refusing to do anything more than what is needed to self sustain, and effectively revoking the free credit privilege that has been extended to women for generations. No freebies. Want effort? Want a breadwinner? Fuck you, pay me.

I agree, and I think this is happening - at least the trend of women lamenting on TikTok about how no guys approach, no one offers to help spot at the gym, no guy wants to be friends at work.
And I'm very glad to see it, enough do this and then maybe some self-reflection or at the very least a reflexive "ohmigaw" will ensue in the female hivemind and just PERHAPS some sanity can be restored.

I find they view jobs much like they appear to view education - just something they do to ramp up their personal status and to get access to/demand even higher status men.
But that CEO would far rather marry a cute young waitress that actually appreciates him and doesn't bust his balls for every moment of the few hours he gets to be at home and off work, and is way less likely to detonate half his net worth over him not making it into a fortune 500 position this year.

I think most of them know that their job won’t attract men. It’s really to impress their girl group. Women I’ve been interested in previously, they often downplay their career. Whether it’s because they think men are “intimidated” or simply aren’t all that interested in their peacocking is a different question

Then just to add insult to injury, you can tell her that it's 2023, and women now go to school and work precisely so they don't have to be subjugated economically to men who outearn them. So a man's income shouldn't matter.

We all know what is going on here - 'Princess' is only able to get low wage jobs, because she is quite clearly below average IQ and doesn't have education or qualifications. Life on low wages is very very hard. She has everything that her ancestors ever dreamt of - access to education, learning, training etc. But she doesn't want that. She wants to get her nails done, get extensions and drive around town in a Rover. And she is bitching to the high heavens that no man is stepping up to give her what 'what she deserves'.

Her best bet if she does not want to aspire to be actual wife tier would be to one of those sugar daddy sites and seek out a long term arrangement as a mistress whose job is to stay pretty, shut up, and bend over on demand in exchange for material wealth access.
And understand that ultimately it is a temporary arrangement that will end once she can no longer provide the first bullet point as well as other women who can offer the second two.

Women pining for a man to pay all the bills is the golden example of "women getting what they ask for and being miserable"
Whenever any of these ungrateful bitches complain about their hard-won right to be a wage slave, please remind them of the following:
Remind them that they had their lamented social structure: they had a society where men not only paid all the bills, but they were expected to and one that had a wife who worked a serious job was looked at as a lesser man. They had it all, and the only thing men asked in return was the ever-decreasing labor involved in performing the tasks that they were performing already: cooking meals, cleaning their domiciles, and being sexually accessible for the men who were literally prepared to die to keep them safe.
Remind them that feminists fought for the right for women to go out into the world and work as hard as men. Feminists fought for the right to be just as responsible, miserable, and enslaved to the cycle of work and debt that their male counterparts endured.
Unlike their male counterparts however, women have never had the physical or mental stamina to endure a 40 hour work week ad infinitum all for the right to simply survive at a comfortable level. All they saw was men being satisfied, not realizing that it was the fact that our happiness wasn't because of our right to work, but because that work fulfilled our need to provide and protect our families - a need that women don't get met through labor, but through having kids and nurturing them to be kind and responsible adults.

I’m reminded of how Winston in Orwell’s 1984 tried to get history from an old “prole” (working class serf) and the prole repeated to him nonsense that never happened such as “having to tip a hat to a capitalist”. This idea that women were all housewives who never worked prior to the 1980’s was a cultural ideal that the emerging middle class men were shamed into such as buying diamond rings and such. Prior to that, most women worked out in the fields of the farm (and I know, I married a farm girl) or they did factory work or waited tables. Large families in particular had the grandma at home doing a lot of the housekeeping and childcare since they were experienced. Remember: This was before social-security and state run nursing homes so people kept the grandparents at home and those grandparents worked (and it probably helped grandma living longer too having a purpose.) My wife's farm grandmother was a tough old bird who didn't want indoor plumbing. She used that outhouse for 85 years and she wasn't going to change her routine even if it meant taking a dump after walking through the snow at 3AM.
If you watch the opening scene of “The Jetsons”, it’s hilarious that Jane literally does nothing but grab George’s money to spend at the mall and order around “robot servants” one of which had a minority accent. ("Princess" above should consider that relevant to what her great-grandma's life was probably like...) This period of time lasted only about 3 generations or so and during that time, the feminists mucked it up thinking “If ALL men (namely the one I married) have executive jobs who are able to pay for me sit at home all day or go to the stores, then why shouldn’t I get that job myself, be “independent”, but still expect him to pay all the bills?” They’re like Marie Antoinette thinking that every woman could be a “King”.
As the clever commenters in the thread above pointed out: The flood of women into the workplace both reduced wages meaning more women had to work and there were fewer such sugar daddies available to “oppress” them at home. They bit the hand that fed them as hard as they possibly could bite.
What astonishes me about working/lower-middle class American women is that they are so ungrateful and delusional in their demands when the men they want have such a plethora of choices. A 33 yr/old Denny’s manager hit the lottery with me but she had the attitude that I should work 60/hours a week to provide her with the Jetson’s dream and I laughed and walked and she went on a drunken rage at the breakup.
