This song and video is 10 years old, and from back when Ariana Grande was still hot/cute, and not many people realized what a total dumbass she is (check out her recent promotional interviews for the "Wicked!" movie or her doughnut controversy from a few years back).
WAATGM has had THOT-anthem analysis at least twice that I recall:

These lyrics seem so earnest. So heartfelt.
She even goes into the WAATGM cliche of "I'm tired of just being used for sex!" with the following lines [emphasis added occasionally]:

But what are her actions within the video?
Why, wiggling her ass at the world, of course! While cavorting around in a bed with multiple other people! Her words beg to be taken seriously as a relationship prospect, while her actions say "I'm just a floozy!"
