excellent post Polish. So much to unpack. It's fun to read what is written, but its also important to read between the lines, to voice out loud what is not said / happening. For example;
“I would say the qualities of guys I generally come across are not necessarily guys I would date,” said Claire, also a junior. So my plan is to let assholes hit it and quit it until I am past my prime, then I will have a look around for a beta.

On the "strong independent" woman blog I got a lot of material from, the aging career women griped about a shortage of "eligible men" and one of the women told them simply: "So there's a shortage of men we desire. The question is what do we do about it?" meaning that they had to up their game. Even if there's a 60:40% gender ratio, there's still prospective partners out there but you have to hustle and compete.
The problem is that "strong, independent" women don't want to be, well, "strong and independent". They want top tier men to compete for them because she "deserves" them much like tall women want ultra-tall men because she NEEDS the man to be taller.
I educated my daughter at the playground by going up to kids with her and saying, in front of the (amused) parent: "Do you want to play with my daughter?" Sometimes the kid said no and I said to her: "It's ok. We'll ask someone else" and then my daughter was capable of doing this herself. Teachers tell me she is one of the most social kids in the school.
30 years ago, I was short and didn't have a top-tier education nor a lot of money. Not the best combination. So I learned to work hard with what I had. I read a ton of books and practiced social skills with EVERYONE. Even now, it annoys my wife I'll chat with people but she also admits it helps get things done.
My point being that it's not just these women BSing and riding the CC, but rather many are probably early Corporate Nuns who are lazy and entitled. There will be the women who figure this out like my one niece and there are those who won't. There's going to be a lot of inspins in nursing homes 50 years from now with septum piercings and arm sleeve tattoos...

I chuckled (not in a bad way towards you) about "reads like a legit lament from their perspective". That can be said of nearly every train wreck profiled here. The author's perspective clearly ignores the impact of affirmative action and feminine hypergamy and haughtily states that young men are simply immature video gamers on their phones or deadbeat dads who don't "step up" at the close of the article. That's all there is to it: Men just need to "work harder".

We all know this claim is utterly untrue: There ARE plenty of ambitious (in a good way) young men on college campuses with their noses in books and staying out of parties but they're regarded as "nerds" or even avoiding women lest they get hit with a sexual harassment allegation and kicked out of school.
Sure, these women aren't tatted up single mothers crying for a hot-rich-guy bailout YET but we see the origin story.

X/twitter has exploded in the past 2 weeks over Trump coming out in support of millions of H-1b visas to replace Americans in STEM and top graduates, as in 4.0 GPAs, winding up unemployed for a year with "ghost job" postings.
One conservative pundit even suggested that "zoomer" STEM graduates stop being lazy and "step up" like baby boomers and perhaps consider a manager job at Panda Express (not making this up) which starts out at $70K. You can look it up.
Our society is crumbling around us with a dystopian hellscape that makes Blade Runner (original) and Judge Dredd look desirable by comparison: Dirty, crime-ridden cities but yet also unaffordable and culturally nihilistic.
And the men are told that we are to blame because we don't work harder for increasingly less.
The economic discussion on X/twitter also coincides with observations about mass hypergamy from women and the OKCupid data showing 80% of men are "below average" to women: Unsympathetic observations merely observe that this means the 80% of the men should just "try harder" failing to realize that the bar just gets raised with each generation. 20 years ago, it was probably 60% of men were "below average" expected to wife up women with tramp stamps (which, in hindsight, appears almost conservative to today's face pierced women.)
I was reading one woman remarking to a reddit (which I'm banned from) post asking if men think nose piercings are attractive saying: "I don't care if ANYONE likes my nose piercing. It's for ME!" It sums up neatly how so many women now regard making a basic attempt to be attractive for men as a form of oppression yet men are supposed to work overtime (literally) to satisfy their voracious demands and bail out a failed society?
What this would mean, statistically then, is that even if college women outnumber the men by 50%, the percent of women who don't throw out red flags such as face piercings/tattoos and open hostility probably is a much smaller share of the campus population than healthy young men.

I would argue that subjects like Gender Studies is the opposite of a Mrs Degree in that feminism pushes the idea that young women shouldn't pursue marriage until after they reach the age where they would have being classes as "old maids" 70+ years ago.
A proper Mrs Degree like for example, a secretary course like they had decades ago when they were a lot more affordable and allowed young college girls to meet suitable husbands back when men actually outnumbered women in college.

A tale of two daughters:
My older brother is a classic boomer: Came of age when jobs were plentiful and education was cheap, worked his arse off in college without girls looking at him and married a minimally hypergamous pretty bourgeoisie woman 3 years into his professional career. (She mocked him at parties for about 4 years she made $1000 more than him so he got a Master's degree)
They had two daughters. After trying for a while, they adopted a Chinese orphan infant and only about a year later, she got pregnant with a girl who inherited our Polish-German family's good looks. They spent about $400k each for them to get the best K-12/college possible to become nurses.
The Chinese-American girl is super religious and met a tall, religious boy in college and abstained until they married about 3 years out of college. She actually earns more than him as a nurse while he's a low paid sports coach for a Christian school.
The other daughter banged chads in college and afterwards in serial monogamous relationships. She's retained her good looks and is currently living with a tall Danish guy whose covered in tattoos and she's got, from what I see in the online photos, about 5 showing herself. No announced plans to marry. She's about 27 now.

Like the old saying goes, why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free? He knows he can replace her (there are always women willing to spread their legs for tall men with tattoos) so no need to commit very hard if at all. Just throw her a bone (heh) with trickle-commit-cohabitation at most, enjoy the easy pussy until she and her pussy is either no longer easy or enjoyable, then replace, rinse and repeat.

The Chinese-American daughter appears to be quite sensible and super religious so I don't see any problems with her. Funny thing about them as millennials: their "thank you" cards for their wedding never got to me because they put my address in the return address portion of the envelope and the stamp in the center. My brother taught them how to mail a letter after that.
Yeah, your assessment appears largely correct except it appears that she doesn't really want commitment either. She's a "strong, independent woman" and thinks she doesn't need marriage or would marry if the guy was rich, which this guy isn't.
From what I heard, she didn't have one night stands but rather a series of monogamous relationships with chads until she would get into a fight with them about something and break up with them. She always had guys eyeing her so she didn't think twice about breaking up since she could monkey branch.
I know another lovely slavic-American gal like this who went through something slightly similar: She lived with a guy for 6 years and no marriage proposal and when she asked what the heck they were going to do, he didn't want to do anything: have kids or marry and she moved on. She was waiting for him to make a proposal because "that's what men are supposed to do".
On the other hand, I went to my fiance about 1 year of long-distance dating and before I even had a chance to say anything she said: "Are you going to marry me, OR WHAT?" That's about the most romantic she's ever been.

Yeah I've just learned the hard way to leave an allowance for a woman that has otherwise achieved an optimal situation for her station in life to have an attack of stupid and throw it all away for some New Dick.
The usual chain of "starter boyfriends" lol. Bad strategy to still have anywhere past 22-25 or so. (Bad at any time really, but time and mother nature are not kind mistresses) Guarantee once the background attention from Chad tier men dries up she's going to suddenly want and be unable to get, a retirement plan tier man.
Guarantee if the guy in this scenario had pushed for commitment first she would have got a case of dry pussy and dumped his ass. Seen that one happen all too often, and then women wonder why men are commitment averse. Couldn't have anything to do with the sad fact that one of the most reliable ways to keep a woman's interest is to be as disinterested in keeping it as possible.

I hope you're mistaken. I've known my Chinese-American niece since she was adopted and she appears to have a good head on her shoulders. If she does look for better New Dick, she'd have to search pretty hard. My wife got drunk at the engagement party and told her she'd need to learn how to cook better to keep such a handsome man (I grabbed the wine bottle away.).
The Chad-chaser has a good income so she's a Strong, Independent woman. Her whole family going up the matriarchal line like that, actually. I told my sister-in-law that if she had married me, I'd have beaten her and she laughed and we respect each other. These women seem to enjoy yanking their men's chains. They pick men with alpha income/looks but beta male mindsets. There are men out there like that and that's what these women in that family appear to gravitate towards.
I found it peculiar how American women seemed to love bad boys and then griped about bad boys. It was refreshing when I met foreign women back 30 years ago who could be (relatively) adult about their relationships. Indeed, men who talk about marriage too early are a turn off but at the same time, these women select men who are commitment phobic.
I shall notify the forum when the situation changes (if on the WAATGM TRP channel). Time seems to fly. They've been shacked up for at least 4 years.

You've got a lot of strawman in all that. Few TRPers will believe "average men should get high quality, virgin wives". My wife wasn't a virgin but that's not uncommon. Pretty much most women above the age of 23 will have slept with at least one man.
You're mistaken about "simple economics". Women are NOT rational beings. They tend to, for example, assume that ALL men are just like the "capable men" they desire and claim they don't want to commit among other fallacies.
There are wonderful examples of how to spoof economics: Studio 54 increased attendance by making access to the club LESS available making insecure people want to get into it more. Designers INCREASE the price of ordinary goods to make more people want to buy them. People can be incredibly dumb at times. Note it's women who are usually more susceptible to cheesy marketing scams although men fall for them too (watch MadMen and the smoking advertising campaigns)
I'm a compassionate human being and think that weak, unintelligent, broke, cowardly men should have at least sexual access to women (such as prostitutes) if they're productive and law abiding. It's the fundamental basis of our civilization, actually.
Ironically, it's the brave, intelligent psychopaths that have made our society into the dystopian hellscape it is now. Politicians got where they are by being risk takers and they were the ones who gave women the right to vote and engaged in risky and ill advised schemes to make a quick profit at the cost of our wonderful, declining western civilization.
Tell you what, when YOU are rich and powerful then you'll have a right to declare who and who shouldn't have access to women, how does that sound?
